Fujin Raijin II
In May 2007, the Expland amusement park in Osaka, Japan, became one of the worst amusement park accidents in history. Six Fujin-Raizin II carriages went off the track and collided with a road fence after one of the car axles broke. One woman died, and 19 other people were severely injured, where some of them almost died in the accident.According to Expoland's operator, a broken wheel axle was responsible for the tragic accident.
Kings Island
The infamous Kings Island is also considered a haunted amusement park. The facility in Mason, Ohio, took four people’s lives in one day, including three visitors and an employee. Visitors have repeatedly seen a ghost girl in a blue dress and other strange visitors from the other side of the world. These stories have become so popular that Sci-Fi TV has dedicated an episode of the documentary series Ghostbusters.
Galaxyland
The colossal three-hole internal roller coaster, Hallucinogen, is also part of one of the creepiest amusement parks with significant accidents. In June 1984, the missing shutters in the last carriage wheel caused the entire train to go off the rails. Three people from this car died.
Coney Island
Built in 1927, the Cyclone experienced one of the worst amusement park rides accidents in the United States. To date, three people have died on this slide. In May 1985, a 29-year-old man died after standing up and hitting his head on a bar. Just three years later, a 26-year-old man died after falling off the Cyclone, and in July 2007, a 53-year-old man broke his neck while riding and died in hospital a few days later.
Oakwood Theme Park
The Oakwood theme park accident occurred in April 2004. When 16-year-old Hayley Williams and her family rode a waterslide, they fell out of a cart and fell from a height of 30 meters, suffering life-altering injuries.
Okpo Land
Okpo Land was located on the outskirts of Okpodong in South Korea and existed for several months. Unfortunately, the facility is on the list of abandoned amusement parks after two accidents.
Action Park
Action Park in Vernon, New Jersey, experienced several accidents for a short period. Six people have died in the history of the park: one died of an electric shock, the second suffered a heart attack, three drowned, and another died after his cart went off the rails.
Six Flags Over Georgia
This attraction was one of the most popular in the entertainment complex Six Flags in Georgia. However, in 2008, 17-year-old Ashy Lyshaw Ferguson died here, lost his hat while riding, and went straight to the rails to get it. At that very moment, the boy was hit by a train that was running on the tracks at 80 km/h.
Magic Harbor
Once a thriving amusement park and a popular holiday destination in South Carolina, Magic Harbor was the place where a horrible amusement park accident struck in 1983. A 13-year-old girl was almost decapitated after standing in the trailer of the Black Witch attraction. Soon after her death, the park was closed entirely.
Pripyat Amusement Park
An amusement park in Pripyat, like the city itself, is often considered one of the scariest amusement parks in the world. The facility was abandoned after the Chernobyl nuclear power accident in 1986.
Terra Mitica
Even though today, the safety measures in the amusement park industry have significantly improved, theme park disasters still continue to happen. In July 2014, an 18-year-old boy from Iceland was thrown out of his seat in Terra Mitica amusement park in Spain. The unlucky guy died in an ambulance shortly after the accident.

The first guy didn't "fall in" he was reaching into the pond to splash the friend and he got electrocuted, the shock was so strong it jolted him into the water and killed him instantly

For the first time in my life I was to heavy to ride most theme rides. Either the seatbelt wouldn’t lock or the lap bar wouldn’t lock. I would never take any of those rides knowing I wasn’t completely secure. It’s definitely not worth your life. It sucks but extreme theme park rides cannot accommodate really heavy people. It should encourage all of us who are to heavy to lose weight so we can ride these rides again sometime.
Ooooooooor, and hear me out, you could never go to an amusement park.
Or it might have saved your life, preventing you from getting on a death trap to start with.
I'm 29 at heart and born in 60 and 300lbs and we phat people are the last ones who get equal rights. And if the overweight population is growing the industry needs to adapt a car or 2 to the train that will fit people who are over 200lbs. Carousels have modified benches to accommodate wheelchairs for yrs so what is the difference as the world is getting more obese. Decades ago men were just 5 9 and 150lbs and fit into 14 inch plane seats, but the times have changed, I know that being a phat society is not a good thing at all but this is still a form of discrimination that is largely laughed at regardless of the circumstances and health problems. I'm not saying that every ride can be made to accommodate a 600lb person but modern coaster builders and the others need to see that 14inch seats are a thing of the past. It is would be so easy for the factory to make seats and shoulder restraints and seatbelts available for larger people and will fit into the same chassis and maybe just 3 wide instead of 4 or whatever. Even if it was just one fat car per train I garrentee that they will wait in a longer in a little line and enjoy it so much, the industry needs to wake up and understand this stuff b/c soon enough half of the population will be too phat to ride almost everything... This video wasn't even all about coasters, I felt bad for that HS Football player in my Orlando but he was way over 300lbs and didn't fit into the ride and how can the company allow a minimum wage teenager to be in charge of a 430ft riding the first place? B4 this happened it would've been so simple to put a pair of seats with shoulder bars outside of the ride to see if you could fit b4 getting in the line and or even a weight scale that you can stand on and it will be a red or green light and save the hour in line. This guy was probably twice as big as a teenager running the ride and he could've felt like he had no choice or alternatives. It would've been so easy to install a scale at the entrance set to the mfg weight limit that said yes or no. I think that it was more about politics than physics and lack of supervision. The guy should've been told that he couldn't get on the ride, but they would have called him and the park rasist or worse...

Very informative video and what have you learned most? That's right, many of these accidents could have been prevented if people didn't ignore warning signs. i.e. Don't go into restricted areas, remain seated until the ride is over and this ride may not be suitable if you have health conditions... Just sayin, staff negligence plays it' s part, but a majority falls on the visitor.
I agree. I think they should say instead of please stay seating on the ride, "WARNING, WARNING, WARNING, (SCARY SONG) STANDING UP ON RIDE WILL CAUSE DEATH."
A lot of us are so use to the regular don't stand up little faint voice over and over since we were small it would be nice if they changed the announcements a bit to really get your attention.
I myself if I heard please stay seated which I hear a lot I wouldn't get up, but that's just me. Lots of people need reminders it seems..... Some people do these things because they don't think it's that serious.
I bet you if there was a video before every ride showing someone falling off and it saying death that people might think twice before standing up.

4 people didn't die at Kings Island on Black Sunday. The first guy entering survived. 2 people died in the pond, 1 lady died falling from Flight Commander.

People don’t realize how rare it is for a ride to malfunction in some form. It takes more than a year to plan, construct, and get approval for these projects. Your chances of getting killed or even slightly harmed are maybe like 0.0001%.
But there is still a chance I'm never getting on a ride again nor will I encourage anyone to ride

@@da_bachelor most of these are caused by riders not following instructions, and injuries are very rare anyways. you have a much higher chance of dying on the drive there than the actual rides

I was about 11 when I went on the cyclone and the operators forgot to lock myself and another guy in. We were in the first two rows and reached a third of the way up the hill when we panicked, "we're not locked in" we raised and lowered the lap bar repeatedly hoping they'd understand and luckily they did. They stopped the ride walked up the hill, locked us in manually then we were safely on our way. Back then the cyclone had manual locks for every two cars. Operators worked their way from the back to the front unfortunately for me and another guy they didn't make it to the front of the car before take off. We yelled and yelled until the operators answered our pleas. They were able to stop the ride before the drop once they understood what we were saying.

Ok, I didn't make it past the first section. I was at Kings Island that day. It was 3 people that died. Strangely enough the 1 guy that survived the pond was the first guy in, and he was severely disabled by the events of that day. Secondly, the woman that fell out of the ride that day, the ride was nothing like what was in the video. The ride was called Flight Commander. Third, the park has been said to be haunted for much longer than that incident. There is a small cemetery just outside of the parking lot that people say the girl in blue is known as Missouri Jane after one of the head stones from the cemetery. It is also rumored to be haunted by a teen Tower Johnny after a teen (John Harter) was tragically killed on the park's Eiffel Tower after supposedly entering a restricted area of the ride. That was in 1983.
Oh and the show was Ghost Hunters. Not Ghost Busters.

Just a heads up to everyone watching this, this lady don’t know what she talking about and park incidents are very, VERY rare. Just think about this, you are more likely to die in the car on the way to the park itself than in the park.

Verrückt was a water slide located at the Schlitterbahn Kansas City water park in Kansas City, Kansas. Caleb Schwab died on the ride. I think it's the worst.
Kaytlin actually had both her feet severed from the cable. Doctors were able to reattach her right foot, but they had to amputate her left leg right below her knee.

The rollercoaster at Galaxyland in Canada is actually called the 'Mind Bender'. And the accident in which 3 people were killed happened in 1986. I remember because I was visiting at the time and the ride was still closed while the police and coroner's office were investigating the accident.
I’m from Calgary Alberta which is three hours from Edmonton, I went on mind bender years and years ago early 2000s I think and I was maybe six at the time and my dad made me go on even though I didn’t want to go on: learning about the accident as an adult is so sad knowing what happened and Also knowing I had been on that ride before

One of my relatives knew the family of the girl who died in Oakwood Theme Park. My relative said that the family of the girl couldn't go back there because of the tragedy and they were also heartbroken. My relative also said that Hayley tried to stand up just before the drop. But I'm not entirely sure if this is true, It's just what my relative told me.

And if the park employees tell you to not bring stuff on the rides, there's a reason. The Dueling Dragons roller coaster at Universal Orlando was shut down after a rider was hit and lost an eye because of a flying object from another coaster headed towards him (it had TWO coasters on separate tracks). The ride was torn down and replaced with a Harry Potter themed coaster but this time, Universal made sure the cars all moved in one direction.
And the park got closed cuz the girl was being stupid so sad

Y’all forgot about the battersea incident.
The most disturbing accident on a theme park ever, the manager and some of the employees even got struck with manslaughter because of negligence of the stability of the ride. The ride was the Big Dipper and 12 people died, one the survivors even did a post of her P.O.V of the accident.

Magic Mountain Colossus. My sister and I were on it the day before the accident. My sister, who had a weight problem, almost flew off during the first drop. This was where the woman fell off. I had to help my sister stay on for the rest of the ride by physically hanging onto her and keeping the lap restraint locked.

The worst one was in Six Flags in Texas Where a woman was in a car and her safety bar only clicked once employee tell her not to worry about it. When she got to the top The first drop her safety bar fell out and she fell out and got killed.
oh I remeber that one, horrible negligence of the park- same with the story of the veteran who slipped from the cart after losing both his legs in the army due to poor negligence

Why do I always find videos like this withing a week before going to places like Thorpe park and Alton towers
it’s annoying i understand completely. but just remember one thing: amusement parks are 9 times out of 10 extremely safe. these accidents were very rare and unfortunate. theme parks are a million times safer than travelling fairs. you’ll be fine :)

As a person who loves to ride coasters and has been to a lot of theme parks I hate it when people don't do research on accidents or play different rides for different accidents. And she doesn't even credit where the footage came from. But seriously if you are scared of rollercoasters its more likely for you to die on the road rather then the theme parks. That is all I have to say, and do your research on rollercoasters or how to be more safe a theme parks :)

on puff the lil fire dragon the kid didnt slip from his seat, the ride came to a stop but the ride manager asked the kids if they wanted to go one more time since the ride was too far past the docking point- the kid didnt hear and while he was getting off the ride went into motion sending him off the tracks, the rest about it might be correct but I know that part was not correct
Another ride accident I know is the smiler, the smiler at Alton Towers collided with an empty test car that was sitting on the track, the staff overrode the safety message and they released the next car full of passengers, injuring all passengers but 2 girls in the front got their legs amputated, 9 months later the ride reopens.
literally where is that like n a girl literally died and was resuscitated n they have to live w their injuries and trauma, that can be just as bad as deaths imo
i used to go to louden castle theme park all the time and rode the rollercoaster which the guy died on. i rode it once and cried, it felt so unstable and it was obviously an unsafe coaster. the park is closed down tho now

the woman who fell at kings island was not on "one of the most extreme attractions" she was on a spinning flat ride which allowed you to spin the shuttle with a joystick inside she was drunk and was allowed to go on alone which should not have been allowed according to the rules supplied by intamin. she slumped over the two seats and fell out when she hit the joystick turning it upside down. she fell in the grass but sadly still passed away

All the deaths/injuries on the cyclone checks out 😭 out of all of the roller coasters I’ve ridden, that was the scariest, most unsafe ride of my LIFE
I remember going to Action Park with my ex. Had a bad scrape when I slid partially off my mat going down a slide. Was a few on the rapids that cartwheeled backwards. Not surprised that they redid the rides. Although, my ex did all the rides without injury.

When riding rollercoasters, or any ride that is required to keep hands, feet, objects, and or sitting down, follow those rules. It might cost your life if you do not.

Exactly you shouldn’t be getting up or trying to do other things while on or near a moving roller coaster… some roller coasters have certain rules to follow so things like this don’t happen

Well I'd like to say that the girl that unfortunately lost her leg/legs in the superman accident did happen. What did not happen however is the fact that one of the cables wrapped around her neck. She never made that statement the family never made that statement, only news articles mentioned it (which was fake news). Please do not spread misinformation about an accident that you hardly looked into. Also your tone through the entire video did not match the grim topics that you are discussing, you seemed to be overly happy when talking about these incidents.

When you're going to king Island and finally riding up side down rollers
Kings Island is one of the safest amusement parks around. Most of the accidents there have been non ride accidents. We have read the history book of the park.
Weird bigger people can fall out. What’s concerning for me is I’m 5’0 115 lbs im going to 6 flags this weekend and worried ima fly out of a cart 😩 RIP to all those who have died at these amusement parks so sad

There was a park in buenos aires called Italpark that closed because a cart from a Matterhorn one 19/20 year old girl died
Lakemont Park in Altoona Pennsylvania - around 1976 or 77, a girl with long hair got on the Ferris Wheel. As the ride was going around, her hair went outside the Ferris Wheel car and slowly wrapped around the bearing on which the car was turning. The car eventually flipped over and the girl hung from the car by her hair. Fortunately they were able to climb up and save her, but it did severe damage to her head and scalp.

Examples: at 6:03 it incorrectly states that the Superman Tower of Power ride is at California's Six Flags Magic Mountain when it actually was at the former Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom in Louisville. Also, the Flight Commander ride at Kings Island at very beginning was a spinning flat ride, not a roller coaster (imagine Disney's Dumbo ride if you could flip the cars upside down).
But it wasnt even called the superman at kentucky kingdom it was the hellovator the superman ride was a roller coaster there the hellovator was the ride the took you up and dropped you

It was her right leg that was saved, not left... I feel bad for the victims who died or seriously injured. But the ones who decided to stand during the rides were very easily avoidable accidents. I feel for their loved ones 😔

I went to kings dominion yesterday and while we were getting off the racing wooden coaster they had, my grandma told me how one of her classmates back in the 17's fell off the ride while riding, but back then they didn't have the technology we had today to keep stuff like that never happen again, thankfully the girl survived but she cracked her head opened sooo-
