    If the motor isn’t working, how was the window able to move to the position you need by pressing the window up down button? If the window won’t move at all but makes a clicking noise, is this caused by a different problem other than the motor? The fuse has already been checked and is fine.

    Thank you so much, dealer want either $370 for driver's side regulator parts and labor, or $760 for driver side motor R&R. Turned out the bolt holding one side of the regulator fell out. Thanks to this video, I purchased your trim tools and had it fixed in about forty minutes. Oh, I did not need to take off the two cables going to door and lock opener, and I also re-lubed regulator with lithium grease...that was another $8 for that:)

    This video was a huge help to me, the drivers door on my 2006 Highlander was just replaced because the original one rusted away, so they replaced the door with a used one. However the window rattled when rolled down, and made terrible noises when rolled up. It appears the Body Shop didn't take the time to tighten the back window bolt. Now I'm a Happy Guy, Thank you.

    Great video, followed all the steps and replaced the driver's power window motor in my 2001 Highlander with the motor from 1A auto. Only issue is, when I use the auto up, it goes all the way up then halfway down. Everything else works fine, up, down and auto down.I followed the steps to idle and calibrate the motor...connected it to switch and hit the up (not auto up) for 4 seconds, then, once installed went all the way up and down twice...maybe I had it positioned incorrectly on the regulator to begin with..? Is there a way reset and re-calibrate the motor without taking everything apart again?

    The video is excellent and helped me to remove the window and door panel without issue. I ordered the part but the part sent to me is not correct. The 3 holes on the motor used to attach it to the track do not have any threads in them so I cannot attach the motor to the track to complete the installation. How can I exchange the wrong part for the right part so I can complete this project. Thanks

    • @1AAuto
      @1AAuto  6 лет назад

      +Flight Commander Thank you for your order! I recommend you give our customer service department a call and we will be able to look into the issue further. From the sounds of it you may just need to get nuts and bolts to complete the installation. Most aftermarket regulators will not be threaded like OE. www.1aauto.com

    What was the reason for the motor replacement? I have a 2003 and the driver's side window just stopped rolling down at all. Trying to figure out if it is the master switch or the motor.

    • @MadClowdz
      @MadClowdz 5 лет назад

      Depends. Was it slowing down and stopping before going out altogether? If it's the motor, generally, it will go slow, stop, then go slowly again and then stop...that's what mine did. It would work fine going down, then up it would go slow and then stop, then I wait about 30 seconds, and it starts moving slowly again. Followed this video's instructions and replaced the motor and it works great now. If it just stops suddenly, without warning, it could be the switch.

    What do you do if one of the connector that connects the window glass to the regulator is on the window and the window is out of the door. Oh and the 10mm bolt hole for that 1 part that's still on the glass is broken but the other one that's not broken is still on the track? I ask coz I came home from work yesterday to find wife's passenger window down on her highlander. I told her about it and she informed me the window didn't work. I thought it wouldnt go up or was off the track. Found her window in the driver seat with 1 of the regulator connectors still on the glass but broken where the bolt goes. Took the door cover off to find the track broken and the other window to regulator connector still on the track.🤷🏻‍♂️

    I would like to know in my mind in theory my own personal design concept should work using the existing design and concept of using a regular automotive window switch with the master switch and instead of rolling up and down windows I would utilize All 4 motors as small winch’s. The 4 separate motors would each have their shaft extended and the opposite end of the new shaft would be in a free spinning enclosed bearings each motor would control 1 single 10’ 1”3’/4 diameter EMT conduit which it’s self isn’t that heavy. What is going to be hung from theses various pipes will be assorted very light weight valances, led lights, all light weight. So if wired correct in theory I would be able to have full control of 4 separate individual pipes or turn on the master switch and all 4 pipes would work together up and down.🤔✍️✍️✍️✍️✍️🤔🤔🤔🤔✍️✍️✍️🧐🤞🤞😲👍🏼✅🙏Correct?
