Convoy S3 show less visible damage than well-known brands proving that quality products don't have to be expensive.
Convoy switch and glass lens are also very easy to replace and spare parts are also very affordable so Convoy flashlight is definitely the best value for money in terms of durability and repairability.

Very comprehensive and detailed evaluation method! Tested with cold and warm water which we have not tried! Thank you for providing us with a more complete method of flashlight testing, which will benefit our flashlight improvement. It's a pity that the P83 didn't pass your test, but that's to be expected since the P83 isn't suitable for such brute force tests. P83 is a daily flashlight that is more suitable for duty, and its structure with plastic connectors (red&blue modules)is not suitable for such violent tests . But it is satisfied with the 1 meters waterproof and 2 meters drop resistance that we advertise. This is guaranteed. 😃

I really like how you combined your own ideas with our suggestions to test this lights.
Wurkkos, wuben and convoy are surprisingly durable, especially for the price. Olight also held up really well and I did not expect that but it's probably because so many people love to hate the brand.

Thank you for the great test, you rock!
Since these are practically metal tubes around a lithium battery and squeeze tightened electronics, with glass up front... unfortunately neither are really safe against repeated shocks. Even if they survive one 2m drop, they may malfunction or get misalighed after a few more. I guess a lot depend how they hit the ground. The proclaimed 1, 1.5m drop tests from the manufacturers are without the battery...since they don't want to risk that to get damaged and flare up.
Being potted (filled) adds an extra ruggedness though. To my knowledge only Armytek does that among these. Malkoff, Elzetta are famous for it, Weltool has like one version that has that.
I hope defense lights will move towards that direction instead of chasing lumens.

Sad to see the Nitecore didn't make it. The 1st of my high end collection was a Nitecore HC-30 over 6 years ago and i still use it daily as an electrician. My most expensive light is the mateminco mt18x but wasnt as impressed with it as much as the BLF-Q8. I also have 2 fenix lights 1 fitorch and had a acebeam but gave it away.

Before they even started i knew Olight would be working in the end. I dont know who says they are poor built quality, i have several Olights & Fenix flashlights. Used to think Fenix as superior of those two. Well, two of my Fenix lights will turn off, not everytime but most of the time, if you drop them from one meter. And im not talking about dropping them on concrete either. Its propably cause theres only one spring that holds the battery. My pd40r rotary dial got broken inside of a week from purchase, they sent me new part so everythings okay now. My Olights... well they never failed me and i would say they have been punished far more than Fenix because 80% of the time i carry them and im not meaning only edc carry but tactical also. Only problem with Olight is that i cant find a single light from them that would work also with cr123a's.

Tail switch, with two modes: flashlight beam, and area light from the LED panel on the side of the tube. $5, and I can't find it anymore. 😕 I get free AA batteries from work, so, handy and ready energy source.
Also, an S11 flashlight on the keychain, which is amazing for $9.
Hey, pro tip: heat shrink a neodymium magnet onto the belt clip of your flashlight. Now you have a hands free way to mount the flashlight onto a car, under a hood, on to a door, ect. 👍
