Souls vetran here been watching you quiet alot in the recent episodes but there's lots you missed and messed up Nephile questline with the Godrick dude the one that was stepping on him and dungeons which you might need to clear for Shadow of the erdtree dlc but play how you want through and have fun 😊
I fought Leonine even before Godrick, because I got so sidetracked.

Its so easy to get side-tracked in this game... that's what makes it so great!
I recommend reading every item description since they have quite a bit of lore in them.
Yes, if you care about the story of the world you are exploring, the majority of it is pieced together from reading Item Descriptions of just about everything in the menus, even including the maps you pick up.
No worries, I am reading it all. I just cut some of it out of the final edit so that the vids aren't to long for you guys 😁
You should play skyrim and the witcher in the future I think you'll love them

You're really doing quite a smashing job, Jonesy! Very entertaining. Taking out bosses like a boss. Masterful deployment of the Guard Counters. I'm glad you bumped into one of the night bosses, a Night's Cavalry. Good fight. Very good strike damage weapon, that Nightrider Flail he dropped. It's good to have something like this in your arsenal for special occasions. It is good for crusty, rocky enemies that resist normal slash and hack weapons, but crumple under bludgeoning strike damage. And the weapon art for it is great, same as on the normal flail I was hyping before. I think people sleep on the flails and their weapon art. It's a bleedy big boss shredder and fun to see in action.
Nice job on the turtle puzzle. I've seen people spend a half hour on it and then give up. The (agreeably) horrifically ugly repulsive things are called Misbegotten. This game is so stunningly beautiful so much of the time, and then at other moments so nightmarishly horrific. Oh, the dichotomy of the brain of Miyazaki.
Your rapid edit style + whimsical tone remind me of peak Guy Ritchie. You got panache. Ok, some nudges for you on this one:
31:43 - That little white light in the distance is...something.
42:12 - It's worth coming back to explore this corner of Castle Morne.
1:03:10 - This is a great moment to use a charged attack (hold R2 until you swing). Great for doing massive damage + stagger...it's great any time you have the time for the windup, really. You can hold R2 while moving or stationary to drag your sword and do a big heavy swing for big damage on Torrent, er, Jackie, too. Cheers! Keep 'em comin'.

You may have missed something, on your way down south, to the Castle Morne. Check the cliffs on the right side (while facing southbound). I won't say what it is, but you did express an interest in it... lol. Also, i have to say that i'm really enjoying your playthrough and especially your genuine reactions to your first encounters with new enemies, puzzles/challenges, weapons/items, and lore.
😭😭you have no idea how much it means to me hearing how much you enjoy this play through.
I know its not doing great on the channel, but I'm having the best time play and sharing it with you guys 🙌

Gotta admit you did pretty good against that Night Calvary, and the Minor erd tree. You have the stats for the Bloodhound's fang, as soon as you find a somber smithing stone 1, it would benefit you to upgrade it and switch to it for more damage.
For the stone Imps, a blunt weapon like a mace, with a holy buff will take them out in 1-2 hits.

Elden Ring hooked me. Struggling with a boss, then finally beating them gives such a sense of achievement - the game is unbelievably massive too and with a dlc round the corner too 👍👍

There's a place in Liurnia (north of Stormveil Castle) where you'll see a large group of jellyfish. Make sure you get the loot they're protecting. I have a feeling that you're really gonna like it.

Nice, that crimsonburst crystal tear you got from the tree avatar is one of the best in the game, it slowly heals you for 3 minutes.
I love fighting the tree avatars.... I think they are one of my fav bosses of the game!

Great job with the bosses, the faster ones are more harder to keep track of and can be more of a panic, I have ordered this game and waiting for it to arrive.

(after frustrating myself again last playthrough I discovered that whip you pick up is excellent against it especially with fire grease. Even if you do feel you've just become a 1970s lion tamer.... 🤣)
Explore the SW corner of the Peninsula is my advice. The whole area is kind of a training ground for Stormveil and.... Well there's something you won't want to miss in the South West quadrant...

If you keep on exploring and doing all of the optional missions dungeons etc you will never be under powered. Except maybe the last few bosses, they were challenging for me.

Also its not really your fault for not noticing, especially since you have to be so focused on the enemy, plus your only other souls like game is bloodborne and it didn't really train you with shields so its understandable you wouldn’t know, I didn't know either my first time playing a souls game either until I happen to see it out of the corner of my eye. Anyway this is getting a bit too long so sorry again truly if I seemed rude and I will say you are doing a fantastic job at playing.

Hi Jonesy, you can actually swing your weapon on both sides of your horse: RB/RT and LB/LT for light and heavy attacks on either side. Good job getting through Castle Morne! Everyone has that moment where they accidentally spam the health button, lol.
