no way this is the right way to do this.
You guys look like a bunch of good Hozier to hang out with
Does anyone know the what size hose to use? The small black ones.
What did you think was going to happen?
did the $300 lockpic get ruined?
Theres any other way with out cutting the frame pipe as well
what about the brackets you cut off
+Jim Layey there is a couple of bolts you use to put the bracket you cut off and they hold it securely in place.
Where are you guys from?
Should have blew the core out with water then air first. Then you wouldn’t have to remove the carpet and get antifreeze everywhere
+Diesel the Dumster Dog he pulled the carpet out a long time ago.
So all I need to do is just destroy my Jeep to get the heater core out? Cut and rip everything out..GOT IT!
No need to cut support there are bolts on adjacent supports that remove it, if you were real mechanic you would not need to damage the vehicle to repair it.
Yeah if you're steering wheel is on the wrong side of the vehicle. The bracket is different for North American Jeeps and has to be cut.
@@twocanines8150 lol no the dash and wheel assembly come out of the jeep and you replace it in one piece without cutting anything it pays 10 hours of labor per the manufacturer
You have to make the cuts if you want to replace the heater core this way. There’s no going around it unless you take the whole dash out which is probably close to a $2000 job for a replacement part that costs $60.
😂right when I was watching them cut the support it was hurting my soul
if you remove the whole dash, yeah. it's just plastic supports....
I would preflush that new core as they are filled with junk from factory, clean it out before you install it🤷♂️.
This video makes me sad
No way bro this is all wrong flag this video 💯🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
It's not the right way, but the correct way you have to take apart the entire dashboard from the driver and passenger side. If you know what you're doing that'll take you a few hours. If you don't, it'll be a few days. I'll do it this way so I don't have to worry about tripping an airbag sensor.
By far the worst video I've watched....just do it right.
Thanks for watching
I just got a new core in to do a replacement. Are the lines in the new one supposed to be set in place or did they swivel? Thanks!
They do swivel what I’d recommend is crimping the other tabs over with pliers so it’s a tighter seal where it swivels and you’ll be good to ho
