That makes two of us: I hadn't heard Aimee Mann before now. Thanks to you and this channel; Mann is clearly very polished. Gonna find some more of her songs.

Hearing them, they are themselves like a fire that seems to burn out to some extent that sticky black substance of regret and loss. I love it. This quickly became one of my favorite songs on the album and it's very fun to play and sing as well (on a guitar in A-standard tuning!).
She can sing about the darkest subjects but that voice fills the room with light and hope.
