I left an engineering management job in Manila and immigrated to Canada with zero expectations. I was willing to work at McDonald’s if necessary and sent out HUNDREDS of CVs. Landed a senior tech engineer position within a month and felt very blessed. My takeaway is to pray for the best but always be prepared for the worst. Depression and unrealistic expectations have no place in immigrants. We are expected to tough it out - that is the only expectation. No one forced us to stay in Canada and Canada owes us nothing. This is largely a merit based society and I landed my various positions through 26 years na walang padrino. O kakilala sa loob ng kumpanya. References, yes of course, any employer needs to check your past performance and character but that is not palakasan by any stretch of the imagination.

If you're an international student hindi naman kayo pinangakohan ng trabaho. It's just an opportunity only for you while studying. Kaya nga the Canada government requires you to have enough money to finance your needs here while studying. Don't expect or depend on your income here to finance your needs here while studying.
This is just my humble opinion, example, if you chose Canada to study as an international student for 2 years, you need to sustain your living expenses for the next 2 years instead of studying and working at the same time, you are in a tough situation , Canada should abolish handing out work permit for prospective international students, they chose Canada to study not to work at the same time. A Filipino student born and raised in Canada, took an Engineering degree, the guy mentioned that he did not attempt to work while studying because it was tough. There is an expression "work smarter not harder". In the old days money had purchasing power, a man can have a career in McDonalds and put his kids through school. Now in todays standard, you can't do that anymore because house prices went up 20x while your income only went up 6x for the middle class since the 70s. In order to keep up with the standard of living you need to invest or some ways "money works for you." If you work for "money" taxes and inflation will eat it up. Having financial knowledge is key to make your life easier.

based sa experience ng anak ko as Int'l Student, may mga work, marami actually, pero sa side ng Int'l student challenges lang ang time availability nila kasi gusto ng mga employer full time job and hindi siya in line sa school sched ng mga students.... if sa factory, evening shift ang mabibigay sa mga students na pwede mag full time job....isa pang challenges yong place kasi malalayo ang mga lugar diyan and the transport....

Challenge talaga kapag di ka available during the day because of school
@@unotventertainment I am based here in the US and Ive been to Canada multiple times because we have relatives living there.
Stay safe and healthy bro and more vids to come. - Team Bautista

I think hindi po siya agency. Ang ibig niyang sabihin ata is yung workplace niya is 90% halos Pilipino.
The most important in getting a job is networking then Canadian experience.
La farge lake at night
Salamat po! 😁
Lol. You're a student, study and go home.

I totally agree.
Mahirap ga
Nagtagalog😂😂
First of all you have to come here with an n open, with the intention of working hard. Next what are you doing in Canada, talking in Hindi/Punjabi! Is this video to help Indians or Indians in Canada. Talk in English so you can practice the language. Just don’t mingle with Indians, spread your wings, interact with others outside of your comfort zone!
Don’t listen to all BS grind lang kabayan don’t give up.
Hindi nman lahat palakasan. The only person I know when I first arrived here is only my hubby. My first job here was in line sa work ko sa pinas. Yung second/present job ko which is in the district school board, same sa pinas, both yan wala nman akong kilala.
