- 顔から頭部を描き起こすワイヤーを描く練習をしているところです。
キャラクターの形状（性別や年齢、好みの絵等）により、グリッドの形は変わります。
このワイヤーは、商業作品を描くにあたって、気分の浮き沈みに関係なくコンスタントにある一定の絵を上げていくためのものです。
（絵が上手くなりたいと思ってこの動画シリーズをご覧になっている初心者の方へ）
この動画の練習は正確に表記すると「私の絵のワイヤーの練習を私がしているところ」です。
初めて絵を描く方の練習方法ではありません。
みなさんの多少の参考になるかと思い、この動画シリーズを制作してみました。
絵には個人の好き嫌いがあるので、好きな絵を描かれる作家さんの絵を模写するところから始めましょう。
私も子供の頃そうしていました。
そうしてだんだん「自分の絵」を構築し、オリジナルのものにしていきます。
そうなると今度は「自分の絵」しか描かなくなり、形が崩れてきても自分で気づけなくなってきます。
それを防ぎ、絵を安定させるためにこのワイヤーを使用しています。
①模写をして描きまくる
②自分の絵を構築する
③それを維持、または改良、発展させる
商業作家の場合、コンスタントにある一定の水準の作業を続けなくてはなりません。
そんな日常の中「気分」に左右されないように、こういったワイヤーを頭の中に置いて仕事をしています。
分かりやすい形状として捉えられる方もいっらしゃると思いますので、そういった方の参考になれば幸いです。

Agreed. Faces don’t have much lines (all curves) but we are so used to seeing them that any little thing can make it feel of. Love drawing, but perspective is really challenging.

akihito yoshitomi and markcrilley both have nice videos on youtube on drawing faces, perspective, and other stuff if you want to look into their content. Akihito has a sort of more realistic looking manga art style and his videos are silent other than his pencil. Mark explains his process as he draws and even has tutorials for specific stuff.

Ooh this reminds me of sinix's method but yours seems to be more actionable for beginners!
Can't quite get this method, but the grid helps a lot. My faces are coming out too long, need to probably adjust my cube ratios... combining it with the Loomis method worked better though. Might have to go grind facedrawing on posemaniacs i guess
