Yes but Light already exhibited controlling traits. His lifestyle pretty muh proves how every aspect of his life is within his control. To be given the Deathnote only made it worst. The Deathnote isn't corruption, it's just a tool. Light made it a weapon.

im almost done with this anime and bruh the plot, the story, the character development is just AMAZING. hands down, best anime ever. the creator of this story and the writers are just absolute geniuses. i love how this anime is different than most others and they were not scared to go places other animes never dared to venture. i love how intense and suspenseful death note is. im just obsessed.
OML I CAME UP WITH THE BEST PRANK!! So if you have a friend who is into death note, get a death note, write some names down, go on the roof of your house or school with the death note, and as the friend walks out the door, drop the book in front of them. Then, get another friend, preferably tall, to stand by in a Shinigami costume. When the time is right, the friend in costume will silently walk up to them, and say something like "Uhh, can I have that back?" Then you could totally make that friends day. Or, ruin their life, either one. :)))))

I almost got arrested for bringing my Death Note manga books to school in 8th grade, my best friend used her notebook as a pretend Death Note and after going through what I did got sent to the hospital for mental health issues. Apparently, they saw her as "a danger to others". IT'S A FICTIONAL WORLD. Besides, I would IMPLORE children to watch it when they're old enough to understand it. The commentary on morality and what's truly "good" or "bad" is something you rarely find nowadays, at least in America.

im almost done with this anime and bruh the plot, the story, the character development is just AMAZING. hands down, best anime ever. the creator of this story and the writers are just absolute geniuses. i love how this anime is different than most others and they were not scared to go places other animes never dared to venture. i love how intense and suspenseful death note is. im just obsessed.

So if you have a friend who is into death note, get a death note, write some names down, go on the roof of your house or school with the death note, and as the friend walks out the door, drop the book in front of them. Then, get another friend, preferably tall, to stand by in a Shinigami costume. When the time is right, the friend in costume will silently walk up to them, and say something like "Uhh, can I have that back?" Then you could totally make that friends day. I almost got arrested for bringing my Death Note manga books to school in 8th grade, my best friend used her notebook as a pretend Death Note and after going through what I did got sent to the hospital for mental health issues. Apparently, they saw her as "a danger to others". IT'S A FICTIONAL WORLD. Besides, I would IMPLORE children to watch it when they're old enough to understand it. The commentary on morality and what's truly "good" or "bad" is something you rarely find nowadays, at least in America.
