There is literally no point sacking ETH now with only 2 months of the season left, let him see it out at least. Frankly the issues are way beyond the manager alone. Switching the manager may be executed as part of a wider change management strategy to signal a fresh reset (even though it's not entirely his fault), but it will have to be accompanied by transformational interventions at all levels across the club. The appointment of Ashworth and Wilcox cannot happen any quicker.

Let's start last season..
Ten hag came in July, worked with the players and squad for few months. Then the season started...the squad looked completely lost under him..lost to Brentford 4-0. Ten hag panicked , forced the board to get Antony at any cost aswell as erikson and casemiro.
Ten hag then , after that brutal start to his reign, completely changed his philosophy in order to get results quickly. It worked and united won 9 in a row against relegation fodder..that run was the reason they made it to 3rd as it was quite visible the team stopped playing football in February. Not taking away the achievement of 3rd, just putting in in perspective especially when you factor how many games were won by a one goal margin and against teams with higher xg and who frankly should've beat us.
Last season Ten hag said (during that 9 game sequence) that "if you don't regularly perform..you won't play"..that was his mantra for quite a while at the start. Yet his persistent with Antony I believe has sown the seeds for what happened with Sancho. Regardless of how sancho has acted..I think he's been disgraceful but I can't argue with Sanchos viewpoint that Antony gets played regardless..its blatantly true.
Added to that the treatment of de gea by the club and ten hag was abhorrent and I can't believe the fanbase is as silent about that as they've been.
Ten hags actions there have caused squad unrest without a doubt.
Now to this season..
Right before the season kicked off ten hag was repeatedly saying just how unbelievably fit the squad was and looked incredible. Then we played wolves..the teams fitness was a bad joke. That was with his full squad too and it was criminal that wolves didn't win.
That was 29 games ago and the very same mistakes and zero improvement in any facet of football is DAMNING on ten hag. He has been there 23 months and has no clue of how to implement qny playing style other than counter attack and his blind refusal to see its not working has led to where we are.
The absolute bullshit reason he gave for why he wasn't playing Verane in Nov was brutally exposed by himself in his own press conference two weeks later. Thats when I lost faith with him. He has obviously fallen out with Varane and he outed that to the press himself. I don't think he has the management skills at this level to say the least.
And people might say but Ajax..well yea. But sometimes a squad comes together and have a good year. From his 23 months at United I don't think he's the man

Nobody's getting sacked. We've 55+ injuries and inki 2 fit CB. Be realistic not delusional. Every manager will struggle with such thin squad.
He’s being realistic- with all the injuries it was fair to not expect a title or even a title challenge, but it’s still not an excuse to have such poor results and AWFUL football for nearly all of the season. Brentford had a second string back 4 and still played us off the pitch… a Brentford second string is championship level 😂
If ten Hag is sacked before Maguire, Sancho, Mctomiany, Martial van de Beek and Rashford go... I hope that Ineos will bring in Southgate so those "lack of style of play" fans will get the style of play that they want.

So unlucky again. 2 deflections against liverpool two soft pens and a deflection tonight, injuries ripping apart the defence, three academy graduate 19 year olds on the pitch at the end. Antony was best player on the pitch garnacho a close second yet Cole palmer will get all the plaudits for two pens and a deflection. Football can be strange but the analysts at the club will take the positives and move on. This is definitely not a time to try and blame the manager.
Problem is ppl think everything is black and white whereas it's been a horror season for the manager and there needs to be an overhaul in terms of players cz these players can't be asked and are not good enough or fit enough to play the way he wants to play

The problem is not the defense but the midfield. The midfield is non-existent, therefore, the defense is exposed and the attack suffers. You cant rely on Mainoo to control the midfield. He is still young. The midfield has been a problem all these years. Why it was never a priority for ETH? ETH has Embrabat, Eriksen, Mainoo, Casemiro maybe some academy players and ETH is still unable to use those players to fix the problem. That says a lot about his management skills. Additionally, for the left back position, here again ETH has poorly managed that position. Knowing Luke Saw injury record and Malacia being out, why send Fernandez on a loan & terminate the loan of Reguilon?

I agree with you about the midfield but wanted to clarify about the LB situation.In 1 interview ETH said the reason why he doesnt have a LB is because the fitness dept told him that in January both Luke shaw and Malacia would be fit.Also it was the clubs decision to sign reguilon for 6 months only.Fernandez already went to 2nd club on loan this season so he cannot be recalled back.
As a LFC fan, I am worried about Sunday! Many Utd fans think it will be 3 & 4. Utd will raise their game. LFC have to kill off Utd this time. We didn’t get that crucial 3rd goal when Utd were looking down and out in the FA Cup.

We need managerial stability. If not players will always up and down tools when they want to. If this happened under Sir Alex, some players will never play again for United... because the club will never sack Sir Alex. The same has to apply for Ten Haag. Would let him stay to the end of the season, i dont want a new interim manager. Something is serriously wrong with the tactics or how we set up, i have never seen so much open space in midfield on any team.
If SJR is serious about world class in all key positions keeping ETH will undermine everything they hope to achieve, especially early on when they will need the support of the fans to trust them to be patient. He needed to do a lot more with what he has but we have terribly underachieved with his terrible decisions and selections. And last, he has spent 400M and most of his players are the biggest problems.

The first that needs to is Rashford. 350k a week, should be in his prime, his main attribute is his speed but more often that not he’ll sprint into the box, head down and loose ball, or he’ll stand on the ball and completely slow the game down to make a back pass! He lacks so much football IQ. He’s got zero left foot to put a cross in for Højlund and to top it all off he just wanders round the pitch not closing down properly. Cash in on him then start the clear out from there!

Besides injuries, there are some players who are told by their agents to avoid injuries because they are told to find a new club because they cannot suit the system. So naturally they are thinking about their future! Do you think it is wise enough to risk a contract? Do you think they would commit 80%? The season was over since the year began.
