We make arancini at home with all my family in Enna. :-) Our favourite ones are with pistachios filling, but we also love the traditional ones with meat.

Drinking a wine in a plastic glass means you hate it. It's impossible to taste a wine outside a glass, a glass made for wine. Try. Even with blind taste. Because the structure of the "contenant" make free the aromes.....first lesson for tasting wine. I experienced it 10 years ago and it is very true. And less plastic in the sea....

In Palermo we call them "arancine" (female name), not "arancini" (male name) as in Catania. So the difference is not only in the appareance but also in the name.

I HATE being called a "foodie" it's not trend in Sicily. And no one should be eating octupus anymore. These are intelligent creatures but as a food they are tough and bland. Why kill them?
Chill our. Food is food, no need to take it so serious. Regardless of whether Street food is the norm in Sicily, most of us will only pass through Sicily on a short holiday and have limited time to enjoy it fully, especially the opportunity to eat home cooked food by nonna.

I think it is leaner but that means its tougher because it has no marbling, very little fat and its fat that adds the flavoring makes it tender.
