Twins in the bed with a bed cover. Exhaust come out of the bed cover at an angle and the intakes come from the bed sides. Could even cut out the gas door for the driver inlet. Exhaust idea is from the MCCLAREN 600LT.
My turbo setup is in a Gbody but was from a third gen Camaro. Works perfect. Turbo is center mounted sideways right on front of the water pump. The only issue is the hot air from the radiator feed the inlet of turbo. But the truck will have the radiator in the bed so that won't be a problem. I can email pictures of my setup or go to my channel videos.
I like the idea of the turbo under the hood with the inlet through the stock hood, and the exhaust out of the passenger side fender. That would be cool.
My first turbo setup on my s10 I did manifolds. This one I used shorty headers forward and down. Both had turbo on passenger side under the hood. I shortened a stock column and installed a joint inside cab and used a bearing on the firewall to clear everything easily.
can yall run the pipe under the truck back and up into the bed, make up the turbos and exhaust in the bed, similar to sherm's green truck, that would be badass and there is a lotta space in the bed. Also look at daddy dave's recent video on his s10, you could find some answers there.
That's what I did with my square body. Only bad part is having to run a charge pipe through the cab unless you want a lot of extra length going back underneath.
I want the turbo over on passenger side behind the headlight. I'm hoping I can win this time. And the 3rd mystery box as absolutely sick I loved the new shirt.
John looking at that truck move the headlights toward the middle put your turbos in the headlight socket and run your exhaust hot sides out fender just saying good luck no more junk out the hood
Do the Hooker manifold bolt on, it would be nice to see the truck go fast with minimal exhaust and intake welding, just do as little as possible but still make it decent.
Ya, he ended up cutting a hole in his hood...watching a video to make headers won't help someone who isn't already a good fabricator. Most good fabricators can't make headers that are worth a shit, usually takes a great fabricator and John isn't shy of admitting he isn't a fabricator. Better off paying someone and getting better quality to give away since it's going to be a pretty bad ass s-10 that someone wins and hopefully races or just enjoys.
I think the fbody passenger side will fit pointing forward on the driver's. Drivers side might fit like it's supposed to be facing rear. I messed around with a s10 swap a few years ago. Remember fbody manifolds was really close fit.
If your shooting to run 4s the manifolds and y-pipe set up is restrictive. Id redo the steering and go forward facing headers. Center mount the turbo but don't cut the grill would be sick!
I just know because I’ve been there. We all have. At one point moving a steering column and building a turbo kit would stretch my abilities. Now not so much but I know we all start somewhere.
@@HorsepowerMATTers I was joking, I build my own kits, not the best, but they work for me, I have a 20x20 garage and a AC / DC Tig and a tube bender and a Dyno, and it's all for personal use and a few close buddies...
It's a dual purpose muffin peeler, I say under the hood.. Matt has the 💡 if you have the ability, build what ya need. Altering prefab is more labor intensive After its all said and done.
Drop the steering column under the primaries before coming through the fire wall. Im building a 2nd gen with up and forward and thats what I'm doing. The hooker kit doesn't fit, already tried.
Im building a 94 s10 with twin turbos. Im running into the same problem with my Proform up and forward headers. I may cut #7 exhaust and loop it around the shaft....BTW IF YOU WANT TO UNLOAD THAT STEERING ASSEMBLY LET ME KNOW. IM LOOKING TO GET 1.
what about just ditch the engine mount or modify them to lift the engine higher , that way the up and forward clears , and u get quicker weight transfer!!!!
I want my turbo on the passenger side half out of the hood and when I win this truck it better be faster than The big D cause I’m calling him out . I’m 5,7” 160 so set my seat accordingly thanks . With love , Chuck
No fender exit to loud if you really want up front I'd say under hood exhaust back to firewall down and under truck to a dump at rear axle. Leave hood un cut so it can get rained out and left outside alot of folks may not have a garage
I say inside promod style, or halfway out. Either would be cool as hell. Fully out if the hood would attract too many cops. What ever the case, just make sure it has good velocity. I personally don't like a cross over tube near the converter and oil pan, but if it's the only way, it is what it is.
Put it in the Freakin Bed, run headers. Its a drag truck, lags no issue. A bunch of trucks doing just fine on bed mount tubos, Also, keep the heat out of engine bay for street cruising!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It would be awesome to see a 4.8 with with a bad ass mechanical full pump for all its methanol to really see what it will do with a big boy 4500 intake, with some of those badass Wilson billet elbows and throttle body's yall got laying around on the 4500 intake of your choice some decent heads and cam and one of vs racings billet 94mm turbos yall had one one the apple once and gotta have some of those billet atomizer 700# in jectors lol or something smaller that will be enough LoL just to see what one will do with everything it needs to really make some power
Just run the hooker turbo manifolds with crossover. It should be plenty of flow for the application. They are good for 1200 hp builds with little back pressure.
I have a drivers header then a cross over to a turbo log I built then my turbo sits just a bit lower then what Matt wants, mine sits under the hood . I would send a pic but can’t in the comments
LOL that"s no bolt together deal . I moved the cab back and shorten the column to the fire wall as far as possible. and loosen it at the top then redrill it at the fire wall and move it out 1/2" and maded my own headers
Matt’s idea for the turbo placement is on point.
Matt's idea with the turbo tilted back is cool.
Love 80s jams
Passenger side stock manifold flipped around with the crossover in front. Cut the factory flange off and weld on a v band.

Behind the headlight. Halfway out the hood. Fender exit exhaust. Definitely move the column and use the bolt on header
I like the idea of the turbo under the hood with the inlet through the stock hood, and the exhaust out of the passenger side fender. That would be cool.

Wow, looks like Wes is still on track to race in the G-Body 50th Anniversary No-Prep Series
Pro mod style!!!

The Turbo back in the Bed... Reverse Mullet style.
Try using the stock Caprice/PPV exhaust manifolds, they hug the engine tight and dump back and in.
Pro mod mount for sure
I want the turbo over on passenger side behind the headlight. I'm hoping I can win this time. And the 3rd mystery box as absolutely sick I loved the new shirt.
9:29, yeah I'm in there. Lmao
Pro mod is the way I would go for the turbski
Put it under hood behind light!! Hell yaaaa
Speed engineering s10 LS swap header on drive side log manifold on passenger side and you keep that steering column set up. that how I got my ran
Blake Hughes makes some nice S10 parts; give him a shout
John looking at that truck move the headlights toward the middle put your turbos in the headlight socket and run your exhaust hot sides out fender just saying good luck no more junk out the hood
Check with CX racing they have s10 turbo manifolds.
Possibly the tbss manifold on the drivers side
Do the Hooker manifold bolt on, it would be nice to see the truck go fast with minimal exhaust and intake welding, just do as little as possible but still make it decent.
Go look at some video of Billy S-10 he had a lot of video making his Header's fit

I believe Billy has sbc gen1 so the block is gonnabe somewhat different clearances
Have way thru the grill or headlight ny pick 🤔
I think the fbody passenger side will fit pointing forward on the driver's. Drivers side might fit like it's supposed to be facing rear. I messed around with a s10 swap a few years ago. Remember fbody manifolds was really close fit.
1:12 HIKE EM LOGY BABY
UNDER the stock flat hood!
Pro mod style
Behind the headlight
Turbo halfway in and out of the hood!
Put the turbo in the middle of the grill.
If your shooting to run 4s the manifolds and y-pipe set up is restrictive. Id redo the steering and go forward facing headers. Center mount the turbo but don't cut the grill would be sick!
Behind the headlight, but not out the hood due to weather conditions. Wouldn’t want rain or worse yet, snow to get in there.
"for someone at home, that doesn't have a lot of fabrication skills"
I'm offended 😤😂
I just know because I’ve been there. We all have. At one point moving a steering column and building a turbo kit would stretch my abilities. Now not so much but I know we all start somewhere.

Matt’s last idea. Under the hood with the hood inlet. But definitely under the hood in case someone has to leave it outside in the weather.
YES 80's music is awesome!
It's a dual purpose muffin peeler, I say under the hood.. Matt has the 💡 if you have the ability, build what ya need. Altering prefab is more labor intensive After its all said and done.
Hood piped into turbo layer back
Promod style turbo mount ftw
50 Chance is literally gonna be, “WAAAHHHH, CUT IT OFF ON EM!!!” LOL
I’m with Matt’s plan of action.

So am i the only one that wants to see more of what and who we saw at the 6:13 minute mark?? 🤔😏🤣
@@mrfkyobitch6282 i think we all knew he is the pimp of the channel!! 🤣🤣
Under the hood. Flat hood for the win
What's up with the green mustang on the rack?
what about just ditch the engine mount or modify them to lift the engine higher , that way the up and forward clears , and u get quicker weight transfer!!!!
Remove passenger headlight and mount turbo there oh yeah
Flip truck manifolds
Under the hood turbo for that cleaner look
I want my turbo on the passenger side half out of the hood and when I win this truck it better be faster than The big D cause I’m calling him out . I’m 5,7” 160 so set my seat accordingly thanks .

Pro mod style would be sick if there is room.. if not then half out the hood would be nice also
Turbo halfway out of the hood would look cool.

I just modified the back tube. Matt has a good plan.
build a steering column relocation kit and i will buy it asap so will 90% of the s10 owners.
I don't mind you brake it do I get an upgrade. LOL!!!
Rod delete tune needs to be on a tshirt!!
Behind headlight
Just run the hooker turbo manifolds with crossover. It should be plenty of flow for the application. They are good for 1200 hp builds with little back pressure.
Under the hood..🤙
Thank you for all the great content
Man I graduated high school in 1985
Put it on the passenger side...under the hood for the ol' sleeper effect..👍👍
why are you bring the steering out of the firewall in the middle? you have it coming out the wrong hole
It is coming out at factory location
@@kentbuerk9479 my 85 comes out at the round hole
S10 turbo headers the steering column runs through two of the primaries they wrap around it
Yea them Ohio boys got a pretty quik little truck.. almost the same color too. Lol
Under the hood. The thru hood inlet would be nice but you couldn't run a filter...
Ask Bill at SRC Garage...he and Billy have a ton of experience with this platform...good luck
Keep the turbo under the hood, leave the stupid looking turbos hanging out of the hood to Cleetus!!!!
just move the steering just to your right in the smaller hole
I like Matt's idea pro mod style under the hood with a duct for air.
What ever "matt" said.
lmaooooo
What motor mount setup is that?
Did you watch the video with sound or no?
Truck manifolds, don't center mount the turbo, make it easy to work on.
Half way out the hood for sure
Just put it in the bed under a bed cover, with a big frozen boost a2w cooler
Its crazy that I watch this channel more than cletus an that's how I found yall
Gotta keep it under the hood,,just my opinion,,,,keep it low and maybe do an inlet tube to the turbo with a filter just behind the grill?..🤓🇺🇲🥓
Damn. With that kind of intro I just knew Petty John was going to make an appearance. Always a good time when he shows up...
Behind the headlight for the win
Below the hood of course 😔 side exit exhaust
Absolutely, Promod the turbo set up.
I have a drivers header then a cross over to a turbo log I built then my turbo sits just a bit lower then what Matt wants, mine sits under the hood . I would send a pic but can’t in the comments
I say this needs to be a Matt's choice build because most of us agree with his ideas lol
Halfway!
fbody headers and put the turbo in the bed
I have a similar setup in my Gbody. Up and forward. The #7 primary is massaged with a hammer to clear the shaft. Lol
Keep the turbo under the hood
LOL that"s no bolt together deal . I moved the cab back and shorten the column to the fire wall as far as possible. and loosen it at the top then redrill it at the fire wall and move it out 1/2" and maded my own headers
The solution is called rack and pinion
Under hood by head light
Under the hood or behind the headlight
Headlight
