The Lord bless you and your congregation for all the good work for our Saviour. From Church of Christ of Targu-Mures, Romania. Pray for us as we pray for you to the Lord of the harvest, 'that he will send forth labourers into his harvest'. Matt. 9:38b. Rom.16:16.
The title does not fit the lesson. The several verses that are inserted on the chalk board are out of context. Thanks for reading the phrase ( Words whereby thou shalt be saved) the text also says ( every Nation that feareth God and worketh righteousness IS ACCEPTED BY HIM. The Holy Spirit had fallen on these men ( as it did the apostles) and this made these men elect or qualified as apostles .Not all apostles were baptized of John in water only 5 were at most.
@@JohnDavis-zx4ty this is the only time ever that it is said someone had the Holy Spirit fell on them AS IT HAD On The Apostles. John meet qualifications 3 I can tell you what they were. John and Jesus were talking and Jesus said it becomes US meaning qualified persons to be baptized in water. This is why the Eunuch was only immersed in water . He was qualified castrated and Holy and righteous therefore you do not find Him repenting or confessing . Same goes for the ones in this text they were qualified and full of the Holy Spirit. THEREFORE THEY DID NOT Repent or Confess
Jared McDade The reason the Holy Spirit fell on the house of Cornelius was to show the Jews that God accepted the Gentiles as well as the Jews. No distinction - Acts 15:8-9. The text nowhere says that the house of Cornelius were made apostles. John’s baptism has no bearing on anything. It was superseded as we see in Acts 19. We know who you are. You follow around faithful members of the Lord’s one predenominational church who are abiding in the doctrine of Christ. You speak against The Lords one holy bride, against His doctrine. You defend vain worship. We know who you are. No, John Shannon does not take anything out of context in this sermon or the other sermons that I have consumed by him. He is a sound teacher of the word. Yes, the title fits the lesson. The Ethiopian was baptized in water because he wanted to be saved. Holy spirit baptism was never for salvation. It was to confirm the message and the messengers. It was to show that God accepted the Gentiles as well. “He was qualified castrated and holy and righteous therefore you do not find him repenting or confessing.“ You’re just making this up as you go aren’t you? The text does not state what do you want it to. He was a eunuch, yes he was castrated. No he wasn’t holy and righteous. He needed to have his sins forgiven like everyone. The text does not say he didn’t repent or confess. The text does not say that the house of Cornelius did not repent or confess. All of the following are essential to salvation. Believe in Jesus, Repentance of sin, confession of Christ’s deity, immersion in water by His authority for the remission of sins. They either did that or they were not saved. Repent. Stop chasing sound teachers and speaking against them. Stop fighting against the doctrine of Christ.

Don't forget, the teaching that water baptism into Christ is not essential for salvation is only as old as the 16th century, and was first taught in Christendom by John Calvin. The only individuals who taught otherwise, prior to John Calvin were the Gnostics.
