Despite what people are saying about Sonic Origins, I think we can all agree the mission was both a fun and welcome addition to the collection.
Agreed. I think they could have just release Mission mode and it would have been blast.
True. Mission mode was one of the few nice additions that Sonic Origins has. It sucks, but not entirely. *I'm talking about the game, not mission mode*
I'll say this at least sonic origins came with extra stuff unlike super Mario 3d all star's

Also, a playthrough of Sonic CD from you would be extremely fun to watch! Since it's in Sonic Origins, you can just play the full game in that collection game (aka play the full Sonic CD in Sonic Origins).
Sonic CD is a very unique Sonic game, so here are some facts about the game (for BTG specifically):
1. Sonic CD was only released on the Sega CD in 1993 and started development a little after Sonic 2.
2. Sonic 2 was developed in America, while Sonic CD was developed in Japan.
3. Sonic and Amy have voice clips, meaning that it is technically the first official mainline Sonic game to have Sonic and Amy speak
4. When you wait 3 minutes without moving in the game, Sonic says "I'm Outer Here!" (commonly mistaken for "I'm Outta Here!") and jumps off the level which causes a Game Over
5. Sonic CD has two soundtracks because the original Japanese soundtrack was redone from scratch in North America to fit with Sonic's persona in the United States (I prefer the Japanese/European version).
6. Sonic CD has animated opening and ending cutscenes (NOT the Origins ones, the original 1993 ones)
7. Sonic says "Yes" when he gets a 1-up (removed in Origins along with all voice clips)

perfect timing.. just finished Retro nights. Its great to see this again, loved the rank challenges, so much fun. I do love the look of Sonic cd, be great to see you play it.. The levels look real smart , the music and colours poppin , and i love mini sonic. keep up the awesome work. BTG Rocks. PS Pure master skill with that tails level at the end.
Sonic 3K has one of the hardest missions at the end. There are definitely tricks to it that you need to learn and master for S rank

Sonic CD is pretty cool, it was my only sonic game for a little bit and it was kinda fun.
the US soundtrack has my actual favorite victory song ever so I personally hope you use that one
The more you play this game, the more I wish I had it. Also, you should definitely do a playthrough of this game. You would make it so much fun to watch! Also, this couldn't possibly be correct, but I think that mosquitoes like mosquitoes.

Mission mode is quite a good thing for Sonic Origins, since it's probably the only reason I play it. I wish the actual thought put into mission mode was in everything else, too. I guess beggers can't be choosers, but I'm just hoping they come back to fix a lot of the issues with Sonic Origins

Here's another Fun Fact about Sonic CD: SEGA was going to add a 8th Zone to the game in the Second Slot. However, it was scrapped very early in development. Proving the point, if you go to the Level Select in Sonic CD it starts with Palm Tree Panic at 1, then Collison Chaos at 3, Tidal Tempest at 4, Quartz Quadrant at 5, Wacky Workbench at 6, Stardust Speedway at 7, and Metallic Madness at 8.
There's even a whole video on the lost Zone.

1 hint for stardust speedway *for darby* at stardust speedway act 3 there is a metal sonic race and eggman has a lazer thing that 1 hits you Metal sonic cheats with electricity and a boost that hurts you At the end of the race, amy is trapped in a rope and you need to break the rope to finish the act
I think you definitely should do a video on CD. I’d also recommend for later videos to use the original Japanese soundtrack which you can switch to on the title screen of the game. (In game not the origins menu)
Yeah I agree Japanese music for this game I think most people would be more familiar with that ost making it kida of a better chioce

Hey To Let You Know, To Get The Good Ending In Sonic CD Go To The Past And Find Robot Generators And Jump Into Them To Create A Good Future. Do This For Act 1 And 2. Also There Is A Good Future, Bad Future, Present And Past Each With Different Music Depending On The US Or JP Soundtrack (Except For Past) The Game Over, Boss, Special Stage, Intro Animation (From Original 1993 Release), Outro Animation (From Original 1993 release), Power Sneakers, And Invincibility Also Have Different Music In The JP And US Tracks. The US Title Screen Music Is Just The Sound From The Intro Movie (From Original 1993 Release). But The JP Soundtrack has A Title Theme. Another JP Exclusive Track Is The Final Boss Theme. The US Boss And Game Over Music Are Horrifying Lol.

I find it funny how the easiest boss in CD was made harder by moving robotnik slightly to the right. The spikes are just a bonus.

You know what? I’m gonna be perfectly honest, I played sonic cd a lot when I was a kid. I had it on my ps3 when I first played it and it’s my favorite classic sonic game aside from mania and superstars.
Yes you should finish it with Sonic 3 and Knuckles I think it will help ones that haven't done any of the extra mission to see what they would have to do to finish that part. 👍

When I went to camp a couple years ago, I had a support worker, and she would eat mosquitoes as soon as she caught one. sound test is only unlockable by beating special stage time attack in under 4 minutes, there's no way he's gonna think of doing that to be able to get the sound test.
to get to special stage time attack, beat normal time attack in under 25 minutes, not trying to be annoying here, but btg if you wanna get sound test you have to do special stage time attack in under 4 mins, also the codes, 07 07 - 8th special stage, 03 01 - dj sonic easter egg, 4 21 - weird batman cameo, 12 11 - debug/edit mode accompanied by a tails picture, and finally 12 25 - what the original comment said.
Fun fact: canonically sonic CD occurs before sonic 2

Also time travelling is so much easyer with dropdash because CD has no roll lock (locked momentum after jumping out of a roll) so you can in some placed dropdash back &for the in a small area & time travel that way

If you're gonna do a sonic CD playthrough, I suggest changig the soundtrack to the jp (Japan) soundtrack, just press the "Soundtrack" button
Tip for sonic cd move joystick up and repeatedly click the jump button to go max speed

no, in the cutscenes of this game, after sonic 1, sonic goes to west side island, after s2, sonic sees the death egg falling onto angel island, so it's at the end of the game (or in a separate timeline where sonic 2 and 3 never happened)
