    Thank you for providing a very informative video. You explain things very clearly as you normally do. I’m too old-fashioned. I think for something like this, though. I look and I see kids no longer pedal bicycles, they longer come out to play, the level of interaction is decreasing the more things become automated. Just being active and interacting with your property and being outside is a healthy thing. Besides, my wife loves working on the outside and mowing the lawn. It is an impressive piece of equipment considering it looks like a toy on TV, but I can’t help. Ask myself if I had been living in the early 1900s, but I still be arguing the benefits of a horse rather than an automobile? Your video is excellently done as always. Keep up the funny videos we love watching them.

    In the settings select follow perimeter. That’ll stop it wrecking your finish.

    That is one cool mower! I usually enjoy cutting grass, but when its this hot I’m happy to pass it on to the robot! How did it do in peak heat of the day?

    I've been trying to talk erik into getting a mowing robot for around our Christmas tree farm, but we need one that can maneuver around 2,000 trees and that's easier said than done 😢

    • @TonysTractorAdventure
      @TonysTractorAdventure  3 месяца назад

      It would do ok if the trees had straight up and down bases. If they curve up, It would require a no go area for each one.

    Set the Luba to follow perimeter and it won’t cut across the yard.

      Very well. It is rated for a 38 degree slope. It goes through our ditch banks and doesn't care.

    Perfect for disabled people or those who don't have time to mow their lawns.....but if you actually enjoy mowing, then obviously not something you'd consider. I don't know how many people actually "enjoy" mowing, but I'm sure there are some that do. Very cool mower, Tony! Thank you for sharing!

      I really do enjoy mowing my yard, but we work 100 hours a week it seems like. It has impressed me to this point. As long as its longevity is good, it will help me!

    I'm looking forward to the robots that can roam around in a garden and do the weeding and pest control (using an IR laser) but looks like it will be a long while until commercially available. Though rigging up a robot using Raspberry Pi type single board computers for AI control would be an interesting and fun project to do.

      I don't know if it will be that long or not! The rapid advancement of an AI workforce is quickly being developed.

    I’ve been eyeballing the Husqvarna one (at the big blue box store), and I love the idea. But man are they expensive!
    We just got back from a week in Norway, and it was near to see the robot mowers in use all over the place.

    • @TonysTractorAdventure
      @TonysTractorAdventure  3 месяца назад

      They are pricey, but it is about the same cost as a box store mower. I am loving it so far.

    If you paid to have your yard done it would be worth it. We will know when you give us the 👍 on it's longevity.

      I am ashamed at how I have treated this mower. I have done the bare minimum in maintenance. It just keeps going out and mowing the yard. It mows around big fallen limbs, it goes around stuff I set out in its way. Very smart machine. I think I would have to get about 3 years of service to match a box store mower cost.

    Disingenuous video IMHO, The Luba works well for a short time till satellite positioning fails due to variations in the elliptical sat orbits and RTK goes to blue vs. green. Mine worked well for about 8 weeks and then muchas problemas. Calling Mammotion for service or returns is a joke as tech and customer service is non-existent as reported on many other sites. This over-hyped robot mower is not capable of dealing with positioning issues and will become a door stop shortly. Avoid it like a plague or skunk on ur lawn. Go with a known brand name that backs up their product offerings unlike luba.

      I think it is disingenuous to make this type of comment when you are unable to follow simple instructions. My unit has worked very well to this point. Look in the mirror and you will find the problem.

      @@TonysTractorAdventure I have dozens of smart home devices including LIDA controlled vacs. The issue is that I can follow parameters, proecedures on set-up but Luba is confused by simple orbital paths in the stratosphere or Leo environment cluttered with satellites that are almost colliding with each other. Luba is a one day wonder and IMHO will disappear from the robotic scene shortly. Try their tech service and then opine SVP.

      @TonysTractorAdventure That's probably the situation I need to avoid. My boy will drop a 2x4 that a gorilla would be proud of. A lightweight battery mower that wants to plow into obstacles like that might not last very long.

    if you make the starting point at the far end of the yard when the thing needs to charge after it charged and starts to run again it should run over the charging line in the yard . Maybe?
