Great job with providing clear and concise details and comparisons of each product. This is a great help. I also enjoyed the low maintenance application which you spoke about. Love the socks.
This is EXACTLY what I've been trying to figure out forever! All my attempts have been ugly pink or yellow disasters! Thank you for cracking the code and doing it so well. Your RV renovation is absolutely amazing and all that whitewashed pine is just gorgeous ♥ Thanks for sharing!!
This lady give an informative presentation in a NATURAL fashion.. Some of the other presenters are high-pitched and somewhat hard to listen to (abrasive). Kudos to this commentator.
Very nice vid…I’ve been toying with this concept but nothing I’ve found previously on YT fit my moods…thanks! And how about a “Lazy DIY Convention” ? I’d go to that!!!
I really love your explanations on both the products and techniques you like and why! You answered all of our questions as to what will work best for our project-thank you! One question though- do you have a take on how far an 8oz of the cream wax will go? I totally understand it depends how thick etc I would put it on. But I want to do a wall and that cream wax seems a perfect fit- just not sure how far a jar will go??
Thanks for all the info got the white gel and the polyurethane now my wife wants more of a gray look do I get the same type of gel (grey) and just mix it half and half? Thank you
Thank you Cami you did the hard part for us all! Question: I'd like to do this effect on our pine ceiling. Do you think I could get away with not sanding? Or would that mess up the effect?
@@michellemula3040 we have rustic pine ceilings...we didn't do Cami's method but I hired a painter and he used 1 part paint/ 2 parts water (& floval). Just sprayed it on with his machine without sanding the wood first. It looks great
That is what I was hoping to do also. I might have to see if I can try a test area. I love the grain of the wood and it would be a shame to have to paint it away.
Hi. I just tried what is supposed to be a white wax at the link you gave. It does looks white in the container but it applies absolutely clear. I see no whiteness at all. The amazon page says it is a "clear" wax, but it says "white" under the color. Did I buy a wrong thing?
Your amazon link brings me to CLEAR not WHITE wax. Just wanted to clarify that I need to use white wax for a white wash look? Thanks! Great tutorial and explanation per usual.
Thank you for this wonderful video. Now I know what to do. Marcel from Saskatchewan.

This makes me happier than you know! Thank you so much for the response and I am so so glad it helped!
I ended up with yellowing too and that was after talking to the distributor :(

Nice! Great detail and super useful!
Absolutely perfect result! Exactly what I’ve been looking for! Thanks!
Well explained. Thank you

I have the same question.
I gave up for a reply and found a phone number for the company. They were able to give me the estimate of 40sq ft per 8oz jar. Thank you DecoART!

Same question for my walls! How did you make out?

What do I wash kiychen cabinets with first ? Thanks
Beautiful! So this technique wouldn’t work with my old yellow honey oak kitchen cabinets? I don’t like pink! ☹️

Is the wax you are using in the video white or clear ?
Can you white wash burned pine wood?
Can I use this method to whitewash exterior wood lattice?
Can you make Birch plywood from home depot close to white? And for edges that won't hold paint, do you recommend edge banding?

I had the same issue although the product I bought it is exactly the same, on the lid it says clear although it is Creme Wax as per the video.

Yes! I’m finding the same thing too. Did you ever figure this out?
did i miss the side by side comparison?
To all concerned- This is NOT whitewash! Its just gel stain and a wax stain.

Who cares
I did it with the Woodglut plans.
I did something like this a month ago with plans from Stodoys plans.
Woodglut scripts contain most of the woodworking plans you can find.
