Good primer Dave! I had always wondered how the two necks were used and how they were tuned. Its one thing to figure out how to play chord tones and melodic runs on the "beast", but, dang, you have pedals and hanging levers to add to the mix: yikes! You still sound slightly out of tune. I started steel around 1986 and even though I know a lot more than when I began it's still takes a lot of seat time to get things right. I played a lot in bands and put in the time yet I'm not satisfied with my technique and tone. There's a lot more information available now so you got a better chance at becoming proficient.
