What I think is also a factor here for loudness is the sub bass, i as do u layer subs under your log, or do u design your logs without hi passing the sub? I guess its soubd design dependent, but subs keep that headroom squeezed, since mist of the "effect" of the log druns are in tfe middle-low bass, nut on the subs.
If so, then it's easy to get logs loud, bevause the reguster at a more sensitive hearing range. Just my two cents.

I'm kinda in the same boat. I think try and watch as many tutorials as possible and familiarise yourself with the DAW and instruments etc and have a good play around with it. That's a start and makes it a bit easier when watching tutorials.

Hey XDizzle, i have a question relating to equipment. I see you are in a recording studio with acoustic treatment. Is it still possible for me to make good amapiano mixes without a studio like such? I have a pair of yamaha HS7 speakers and a pair of beyerdynamic DT770 headphones. Yours sincerely. Matt.
bro I feel as tho as long as you have your laptop, headphones, monitors are a plus and your DAW(Production program) you should be good to go. the equipment doesn't always make the bangers believe it or not sometimes simplicity and creativity is all you need to make something good.
yeah u dont need acoustic treatment to make beats with good headphones, if u are talking about recording vocals then thats another story
I have a problem with the log drum since i dnt have studio monitors sometimes when i use soundgoodizer to boost my log drum it will sound nice on the sound bar i use but wen i take it n play in on the big speakers it get louder than my ear can handle .
Still find it hard to balance that coz most of the songs wen i play them over the phone you can hear the log drum hitting bt my songs turns to get quiet that all u get to hear is the drums n keys.
Sound bars and home speakers usually use equalisers which may distort your sound. Thats why using studio monitors solve that. Another alternative to use is a TV which supports hdmi cable..the sound from the tv can be used as a studio monitor.
Or use headphones 🤷♀️

make sure you use reference mixes, and decent headphones are better than bad speakers for judging the low end
