Well Muzan and Kokushibou(Michikatsu Tsugikinu) are literally business partners what i mean is that they kill all the sun users they see on their path just to avoid them being strong as Yoriichi...Also if kokushibou had seen tanjiro and maybe meet him face to face he wouldnt resist to end his life in miliseconds for just seeing him use only a move of hinomiki kagura... well ppl might think that tanjiro uses sun breathing but no he uses hinomiki kagura which is really similar to sun but weakened version althought in mange tanjiro masters it and gains acces to REAL sun breathing and slowly combining the forms to each other to perform the perfect 13th form on muzan.... well but still if he met kokushibou he would get killed in a nanosecond

he's been with Muan for the longest time since the sengoku period, I think perhaps muzan also sees something similar within him. MUzan wishes to live in the sun light while Kokushibo wants to be a powerful samurai and surpass his brother, both are very passionate with their ambition which i believe is why Muzan likes Kokushibo. Although I always like to think the reason why Daki fails at getting close to him is perhaps out of respect for his mortal side. he did have a wife when he was a human and although he abandoned them I'd like to say out of respect to her memory he distances himself from her advantages, that and it seems Muzan fancys her, so maybe out of respect to Muzan he avoids her since there are hints there's something going on between daki and muzan

I think it would be great to do a demon slayer prequel. Since Kokushibo is 300 years old and Muzan is thousands. I think every one of the twelve Kukuzi got wiped out 300 years ago while Muzan barely escaped.
Honestly from what ive seen, Kokushibo is so powerful that if it wasn't for Muzan's curse, he'd probably be powerful enough to theoretically win in a fight with some good planning and preparation (and probably some outside help)

well from the moment muzan met kokushibo he asked him to be a demon which he agreed too in order to get stronger then yorrichi failed of course but with him being almost the same power level and yorrichi (about 30% of yorrichi's strength) becoming a demon increases that expenentalty making his power about 60% and muzan is about 70% of yorrichi's strength and with the slayer mark kokushibo in total power level of 71% and muzan in total is 87% and for yorrichi his power level to beat all moons including muzan is 0.0001% of his strength and all the moons is about 2% chance so kokushibo is close to an equal as kokushibo is about 20% weaker then muzan but since he allows kokushibo to have his nichirin sword kokushibo can kill muzan at any time which means he sees kokushibo as an equal as he knows by allowing him to keep his sword as a never ending trust exercise as muzan can't feel the cells he put in kokushibo so he can't tell if he is trustworthy as kokushibo is almost identical as yorrichi meaning as yorrichi is the strongest slayer and kokushibo being his twin only the weaker twin could become a demon if someone stronger than muzan becomes a demon they can't they just die so he knows kokushibo won't kill him as he needs him as a partner in order to get money to get his equipment to get beakers to test his blood in different plants to see if they have the same effect as the blue lilly

Buiseness partner is simple affair born from when Kokushibo became a demon id wager.
Kokushibo serves Muzan's interest of discovering the immunity to Sunlight, Kokushibo gets the extra strenght and time needed to one day triomph over Yoriichi and Sun Breathing alltogether, which was his ultimate objective.
Since triomphing over sunlight would ultimately rid Kokushibo of a crucial weakness against Sun Breathing (since Sunlight wouldnt hurt him no more Nichirin blades which absorbs Sunlight are thus unable to kill him) helping Muzan benefits him, while Muzan had to give out a substancial amount of his own blood to transform Michikatsu, thus Kokushibo's strenght and loyalty helps him get rid of any other potential Yoriichi in the making before Sun breathing is mastered again.
