I thought the Sims GBA/DS games were just forgotten but now that I've seen this speedrun that the community is still there for these games for how much it changed a lot of people's lives. I'm really glad. Also good job man on getting the WR!
had this game as a kid, that is some good memerizing there, very impressive. I was looking for a gba Longplay of this game, and you've got basically the same thing but much shorter.
I just had to leave a comment because I remember being a young kid playing the first Sims and playing this game boy version around the time it came out and to be honest looking back I think it really was one of my favorite Game Boy games that I played there was definitely not much else like it
i played urbz sims in the city in late elementary-high school. my girlfriend in this present time had the cartridge for this game so i tried it out. i put the game down quicker than i thought, even after giving it some chances- maybe in the future. 16:04 hype
Randomly thought of this game and searched for it on yt and ended up watching this entire speedrun + the Urbz one too lol. I played these games so much as a kid and both of them are amongst my most favorite games ever. I really wish there would be new titles or maybe remasters or atleast similar games like these out there but they just dont make em like this anymore...
God, I remember linking this game to the GameCube version of Bustin' Out with the GBA link cable. You could transfer money made from the mini games in this game to your GameCube character!
I wanna know how you got your hairbun. I have 0 ideas on how to do that kind of thing. Looks really good. Also amazing run. I just found you literally at your last Bustin Out WR.
This was fun to watch! Question - would it be worthwhile to ask someone to be a roommate to increase the amount of conversation options that show up afterwards, like with Vera Vex? I'm also wondering if the same could be said for asking for an errand, though that would eat up an item slot and potentially not be worth it.
Conversation topics are determined by what chapter of the game you're currently on - different chapters provide different conversation topics with each character. Having someone move in with you will not add or change the topics, unfortunately. Also, in order to get any character to move in with you, you need to have a high relationship with them before asking if they want to move in. We only bond with Vera once to get her to Relationship 50 to meet the goal needed for her mission set. We don't bond with her any further since our character's personality type doesn't match with Vera's, therefore providing worse results with each conversation topic (+1s instead of +2s, -2s instead of -1s, etc.). This is the case for some other characters that we intentionally don't, or barely, bond with, including Mad Willy, Ephram Earl, etc.
@@Curtissimo oh, I just meant that there would be more/other conversation options in general because "want to move in with me?" would stop appearing as an option once you already have someone as a roommate
@@Simbreon Ah, gotcha. I don't believe that question shows up enough in conversation to make it worth trying to get rid of it, since, if they deny your request, your relationship with them will go down. Also, it'd only work with 1 character since you can only have 1 roommate at a time.
@@Curtissimo true, true BUT as far as I know, if you have a roommate at all, it removes the "move in with me?" question option for ALL potential roommates, thus possibly saving a lot of time in the long run.
I just started the game I didn't know you could (Also does anyone know how to place things idk if my buttons are broken or) Edit: I put it in a different console it was a broken
Omfggg my moms old roommates stole a ton of games I had in storage and this was one of them along with my gba 😿 I’m replaying urbz rn for the ds as well as ps2 but this started it all for the goals related sims games for me than sims and sbustinout for ps2 haha
elo, I am pidgeon! I am afta you now! the police are afta me!! (I will atempt to snipe this wr cuz this came out pretty much same year i was born haha)
Defeating mad willy isn't easy. Even I am playing busting out in gba emulator since my Gameboy and some games were affected by Yolanda typhoon. Anyway I complete all of the skills but I cant defeat mad willy what can I do?
I’m playing this on the ds lite.. I’m hearing something about paradise island one of the characters I need to speak to is there but I don’t know where that is lol!! Any tips ?
You unlock it by playing with another linked copy of the game on another gameboy, not possible on DS and not worth it buying twice, just wait until characters return to simvalley
@@Currentsxio All you need to do is exit the sewers once the camera starts to pan over to the switch that takes you to the hidden room. You can only do this once per playthrough since that camera pan only happens once, and if you save and reload your game, you won't be able to get it again. So make sure to get everything you want done while you have the glitch active!

Awesome to see someone speed through a game that took me weeks to get past stuff when I was a kid! Congrats!

omg I love that people are still playing thisssssssssss ❤️ this and urbz was all I played as a kid
My mom and I loved this game growing up, we had to buy two cartridges. This gave me so much warm nostalgia and makes me want to play it again
Definitely a comfort game
that bathroom and the music make me feel some type of way
I clicked this video in hopes just to hear the bathroom music
You're the best for these speedruns! I really want to replay the GBA games, but the popularity thing ALWAYS stumps me. You da bestest!
Its 11h38pm... i cant sleep and im vibing to a speed run of my favorite handheld games. ❤
Legend for speed running this, congrats on WR
Yo! this games were so fun (and still are), and the weird thing its that we dont have modern equivalents. Good Job on those WR!
I was thinking the same thing... love these types of games but they don't exist in modern gaming
@@KedarPatel91 If you had to sum up what makes this game what it is, how would you describe it?
Yo what's up! I live in Allentown!! Yo I love this game! I used to play it all the time. Is great game growing up.
The bonding, THE MOVEMENT 😳
awesome run, congrats!!! 💛

At first I kept thinking "why are the skills and sleeping taking so long?" And then i remembered I played on the emulator and used frameskip lol

I wonder if they have plans to remake this game including urbz and adapt it in modern day?
new sub here, I'll try to do this on my steam deck😻

To beat up Mad Willy you need at least Body 6 and have a full energy (sleep) meter when you go to fight him.

may i know what is the function on zodiac?
Only thing this affects is the color of the chairs in the secret room located in the sewers, so nothing too impactful
