Really great vid Sky! Your Pro coverage has really been informative and has put a lot of misinformation to rest. I love my Pro it just sucks the true necessity of it won’t be seen for a long time but I have no doubt that everyone and their mom will be defending it when it’s all said and done!
Everyone who says the ps5 pro costs too much money and or isn’t worth it obviously doesn’t have one. Thing is a beast I love it and definitely 100% worth every penny.

Don’t forget other games that are not pro enhanced but don’t have a locked frame rate at a 4K now run at 60 fps that had trouble on base model take remnant 2 for example its a solid 60 now.

@@Skycaptin5 I would also add F1 24 into this the 120hz more is sweet. And also ratchet and clank and No Man's Sky. I swear Death Stranding looks stunning to me but I never played it on regular PS5 so can't directly compare it.

I found Village to be great looking but similar enough to the previous version to want to grant some that made larger leaps a higher place.

Do you play Silent Hill 2 Remake and Alan Wake 2 on Quality or Performance? If performance mode - is is actually better than regular Quality mode on base PS5 now ? I have read so many differente opinions I cannot wrap my head around what to believe .... I am trusting you! :D
Reddit has a list of games that are actually ps5 pro enhanced, if they are not on that list it will be very minimal

Close, but not in the top 25, they were in there but both got bumped! Lords of the Fallen was really really close. At one point I think it was 20th or so, it got shuffled around.
Dying light 2 is not a good enhanced game. The pro could easily do native 4k with 60 fps on that game given its gpu.

It all (I pretty much have no interest in the featured games shown here, though be it they do look graphically impressive) sounds to me like this machine is the console to have to play GTA VI on. What is Microsoft up to (rhetorical question)? They need to have a Series X Pro by now, IMO.
People forget these are just existing games updated. Every game going forward will have this console in mind. You will (hopefully) see some crazy looking games on this when new games start to release.
"They need to have a Series X Pro by now, IMO." And exactly why would that be? Because AAA developers can no longer be bothered to optimize their code? They are not even yet taking full advantage of the existing PS5 ("Base console") or Xbox Series X hardware!
And as for the PS5 Pro "enhanced" games - I'm absolutely underwhelmed: The Last Of Us 1 already ran on the PS3 (!!!) - and was only good for one playthrough, I did not like it remotely enough to ever play it again. I never bought TLOU 2 because I already hated the game based on the trailers and reviews - and story leaks.
What exactly looks ah-so great about this Hogwarts game? In my opinion, Alien Isolation already looked better than this - 10 years ago, on the PS4 or Xbox One, and definitely in 4K on a PC. Heck, Alien Isolation even looks amazing on the Switch in 1080p - they really optimized the crap out of the game.
Dying Light 2 sucks as a game, especially compared to the original Dying Light - it really does not matter how much they improve the graphics, the game itself just sucks.
You could sell me this console with an exclusive version of Uncharted 5 - provided that UC5 would not go woke and throw "the message" at me at every corner, but since we're almost in 2025 and the gaming industry no longer produces AAA games that are worth playing, they'd probably destroy that franchise now with their nonsense.
tl;dr: At this point, nobody needs a PS5 Pro and also not an Xbox Series Double X. Or a PS6 and a new Xbox generation -- Microsoft will go full streaming anyway at some point in the future, and so will Sony.
AAA games worth our time and attention, now that would be cool for a change.
@@chrisbrown113096 No, they won't be having this console in mind - everything MUST run on the millions of base consoles that have been sold. Nobody, not even Sony, had ever designed games with the PS4 Pro in mind - that's just not where the money is. You'll get a bit more visual eye candy on those "Pro" consoles, but that's about it - you won't be getting better games.
