      @ENDWOKEDEGENERACY 3 месяца назад +31

      I’m not.
      I think Ridley Scott destroyed the entire franchise, although it started with Resurrection, when they started playing with human hybrid mutations. When we saw alien and aliens the premise was of a unique non indigenous specimen, an “alien”, and that story has been switched into some man made/android made DNA engineered species with its various weird and whacky creature spin offs that started with Prometheus.
      I understand continually writing about the alien species in its original form, and exploring a more meaningful, inspiring and supernatural origin was far too challenging for writers, and the risk was too high for it to flop because no one in my opinion has ever been able to make an inspiring deep space movie.
      I ultimately blame Ridley though, resurrection could have been one and done, but his egotistic control over the franchise and taking it to weird and completely uninspiring places has completely ruined the story to the extent true fans still try and decatch alien and aliens from every other movie made since. He didn’t even write the first alien, yet because he directed it he then assumed creative and full control after resurrection (a horrible movie for the franchise which probably gave him the uninspiring genetic mutation ideas). He also blocked Blomkamps prospective Alien 5 movie which may (or may not) have been a franchise saver. As for this one, it was taken back to places it should have always remained, until they went down the mutation road again. No movie will ever be mainstream like alien and aliens was when you drop a hideous mutated human into the flick like this one did.

The xenomorph is originally an obscene sex object resembling a human girl in the necronomicon and other giger work. @@ENDWOKEDEGENERACYwell, this movie has made alot of $ in box office for an r rated horror film and has received favorable reviews for the most part, so in a sense it is mainstream despite what you say. Alien was about a crew trying to survive one xenomorph. Aliens is marines vs hive of xenomorphs. Alien 3 is basically Alien 1 but worse. Do you really want them to just repeat facehuggers and xenomorphs as the only antagonists the whole time for all entries in the franchise, and same concepts and plot structures? Prometheus at least tried something different and gave us new aliens and this is a continuation of that.

    Humans came from the engineers as we saw in Prometheus. The xenomorph dna was most likely used by the engineers to speed up their own evolution. Weyland-Yutani was planning to do the same thing with humans in Romulus. The engineers wanted humans to evolve as well but changed their mind when they saw how flawed we were. We were not worthy. So they planned to destroy us instead.

    • @Dirty_Dumb_NAFO_Scum
      @Dirty_Dumb_NAFO_Scum 3 месяца назад

      You've got a lot of that wrong.
      The xenomorphs were something that came significantly after the engineers had reached their peak genetically engineered state.
      If you read some of the story notes for prometheus, basically the engineers had overcome death and could live tens of thousands of years.
      Philosophically, the xenomorph is their antithesis. Where engineers are super intelligent and long-lived, xenomorphs have a bare instinct level intelligence and perceive nothing more than their instincts and what is in their environment and their personal interests.
      Engineers planned for thousands of years to reach their desired engineered state, xenomorphs live in the moment at all times with no history and no future. Cognitively engineers and xenos are polar opposites.
      The story of the engineers of prometheus was a story of existential horror, it was never a question of "worthniess" of humans, they were used as a stepping stone to CREATE the xenomorphs.
      That's the entirety of what the story of prometheus was trying to say. I swear that whole movie was an intelligence test.
      Humans were perceived as "proto-engineers" by their creators and the engineers long ago had decided that they were growing tired of their state of existence and started committing ritual suicide out of an essential lack of existential boredom or "ennui".
      Another clue, the xenomorph can be seen in prometheus in that frieze within the facility, it was a monument to what they truly admired.
      It's not a matter of worthiness with the humans, they were perceived as destined to reach the same end that the engineers had and the engineers were so far into their evolution that they decided that the xenomorph in their corrupt minds was a better form of existence.
      They didn't need xenomorphs or the black goo to kill off humans, humans could have lived for thousands more years and it would have never affected the engineers.
      The only reason why the engineers would get rid of the humans is for the same reason why a researcher would kill a research animal after a study was done.
      Humans were implicitly used in combination with some variant of the black goo to create the deacon, as shown in the movie, by combining a human ova with the black goo creating the proto face hugger and combining it with an engineer.
      It was in fact the other way around, engineers did not use xenomorphs to evolve, engineers used themselves combined with humans to create the xenomorph life cycle.
      Why people don't seem to understand this when it's shown in the goddamned movie is beyond me.

    • @mkno2799
      @mkno2799 2 месяца назад +18

      Actually, I think my theory is more terrifying: humans and xeno were "created" in the same exact way. But "evolved" differently due to the respected planetary environment for their experiments. The engineers simply thought the latter was more worthy and that every planet should have some variant of their most prized creation. Thus, the black goo.

    • @Dirty_Dumb_NAFO_Scum
      @Dirty_Dumb_NAFO_Scum 2 месяца назад +1

      @@mkno2799 No, the movie prometheus was an allegory for how the xenomorph was created.
      It required human beings and the genes of engineers, the frieze with the xenomorph in the facility on that engineer planet proves that xenomorphs existed at the time of that facility's creation meaning xenos had existed for a long time, and likely more than anything humans were little more than a genetic step-stool to create the xeno.

    Why offspring look like mark Zuckerberg? Thats zuckermorph 😅😅

  • @QockNobblr
    @QockNobblr 3 месяца назад +205

    Actual explanation:
    The black goo's mechanism of mutation is as follows; when it comes in contact with organic life, it first detects for genetic defects and imperfections and corrects them, so as to make the host as viable as possible and/or so that the host gives as many positive genetic traits as possible to any xeno-embryos
    after it corrects all the mistakes and imperfections it begins rapidly mutating the host dna into whatever given form
    regularly, the black goo infects some type of bioemgineered ovum, which is impregnated with a parasitic microbe that combines with host dna and collects and grows into a xeno.
    but here, the black goo infected her reproductive system, the human ovum, if you will. Her mutated ovum 'corrected' her unborn fetus' dna and combined the parasitic microbe with her unborn fetus. The first causing the engineer mutations we see, the later, the xenomorph mutations

      These are recessive genetics that are locked into human DNA. The engineers seeded earth, and brought about life on this planet. The black goo is an amalgamation of the original xeno species and the engineers known as the jockeys, a radical colonizing faction of the engineers species that have been genetically enhanced to survive deep space travel. These jockeys found a xeno on one of their many conquests and worshipped it as a god. It's known as the Deacon. You can see reliefs and murals of it in their juggernaut ships. Regardless, this amalgamation seeded earth, and humanity evolved from it.

    Human dna and engineer dna are identical, as they discover in Prometheus. Genetically, as far as an invading parasite like the black goo would be concerned, humans and engineers are the same thing.
    and If the engineers created the black goo, though that's speculation with zero support behind it, then it would make sense if it was created or derived using engineer dna. In which case a mutated human and a mutated would look the same because they actually Are the same thing

    I thought the implication was that engineers ran out of females for some reason, they're all males, they broke down their dna trying to create a procreation compatible species (such as humans) that will naturally evolve males and females, then the engineers use the black goo on pregnant human females to accelerate the evolution of the fetus and birth an engineer, maybe this is what the "perfected" on "Paradise" are, but obviously the example in Romulus is a case of.. close but not quite right, to say the least lol, as it comes out with a pretty messed up body, but you notice the engineers in Prometheus have xeno features, their armor/suit is actually part of their body if you look close at their wrists, so it's possible that it turns out ideal (from their perspective), and this fits with the engineers being inspired by the biblical nephilim story, created by the "sons of god" procreating with the "daughters of men" and producing unhinged giants as offspring, obviously not this exact story but you can see the inspirational influence

    Btw these kind of xenomorph was mentioned in one of the Alien books. And they originated from one of those U-shaped spaceship indicating they were incubated in the Engineers. One concept the books express is that the Xenomorphs can incubate in any living creature, and they must use that DNA in order to form. Essentially in the books xenomorphs can be rat like or alien deer like. I think the franchise is putting that concept in the movies. Essentially the hybrid Engineer Xenomorph is introducing a concept that I suspect will be in the Alien: Earth TV series. Another thing hinted in the Movie but is a common theme in the books is the Engineers are using the black goo to kill off humans. I suspect this concept might be introduced in the series. And it’s not really a new movie concept because the Xenomorphs of Prometheus and Covenant indicate variations that can occur. Anyway the Alien cinematic universe is going to get more interesting. The series has so much to pick from and more it can add to the franchise!

    The engieers on the space ship in Prometheus are already an amalgum of xenomorph and engineer. If you look at their dark eyes and armor the engineer army division is actually trying to be more like the xenomorphs. This is reinforced in alien resurrection, when Ripley's clone is actually a mix of xenomorph and human and she has dark eyes. The black goo is made is a derivative of the gold goo in Prometheus, and the gold goo is a derivative of the of the xenomorph gods the engineers worship. The offspring is probably adjacent to the military engineer in the evolutionary chain.

    • @ALiGzz
      @ALiGzz 2 месяца назад

      Correct the Engineers are a bio genetically modified version of their species.. They're built for space travel and warfare! Their consider the soldiers for their planet , & that's why in Covenant when David arrived on the ship the non-modified engineers were smiling until they suddenly noticed something was completely wrong.

  • @MrTaylorAries
    @MrTaylorAries 27 дней назад

    The black goo doesn’t need anything more than a host to morph into viable life. The interruption of the face hugger process may have also led to the more human like birth that occurred because the android stated they had been working on modifications so it was be able to evolve humans so they could survive in space beyond the things that had been killing the colonies.
    David’s version of the xenomorphs are the more violent versions that make hives. The face hugger’s on this vessel may have been modified to focus on the more human aspects but it’s not clear if that was the desired result or a work in progress still.

    The black goo that made humans is Deacon blood, the black goo in Prometheus is a nano tech variant designed as a weapon and exhibits characteristics of the deacon blood. The black goo that made the offspring was a human made hot housed version that was an attempt to make colonists hardier miners and better employees in harsh conditions, it was made using the body of the big chap when they found him cocooned in the debris of the Nostromo.

      @Who-Uhm-Cares Immortality has multiple forms. In Greek mythology Immortality was exactly that, Cronus ate Zeus and the other major gods as children and they survived in his stomach, and in some versions after the whole uprising when the gods defeated the Titans, Zeus had Cronus chopped into pieces and thrown into Tartarus forever, where he continued to live as bits and pieces.
      Hell, in Egyptian mythology even immortality is much the same, there's the whole story of Set "killing" his brother Osiris and chopping him into multiple pieces and scattered throughout the desert, and if these pieces were brought back together Osiris would be just fine.
      Invincibility is a different thing and has more to do with being indestructible/unable to be defeated than with their lifeforce.

    Hear me out…The DNA from the engineer head found by the crew of Prometheus was linked to human DNA. The pathogen could be a result of trying and failing to recreate the life force (golden goo) they used to create life on earth in the first scene of Prometheus.
    The version of offspring in Romulus resembles the Engineers, so is it possible that they are descendants of humans who have tried to do the same before them and not the other way around?
    Since the way she was implanted was way different, maybe the engineers were created by someone else, using humans as incubators or something.
    I have no idea what I’m talking about 🤣
