As twisted chain front wheel drive or moving bottom bracket front wheel drive ,are available. That would be what I would want on a tandem. That way the captain and the stoker can pedal efficiently at their own cadence in totally different gears.

There were 10000 people on the fair, which lasts two days. Each day from ten am to six pm. Each round for testing on this track goes thirty minutes. Each round they only let fifty people in. That is spots for 1800 people of ten thousand visitors for a whole year. You had the tandem for a third of that time, ten minutes as you said. In your footage you can see the queue of people waiting to get to try the bikes and still you can't get around complaining about that "German woman" because she was trying to make sure the most people possible would get a spot.
