  • Another followup to a uestion about walling up on FOUNDRY and how easy it is. Also for my player that is going to look at running her first game in FOUNDRYVTT. I hope you find the bonuses of this system and learn to enjoy it as I have and not be worried about starting a new system.

Thanks. Did i understand correctly that - height change for tokens and walls - is separate module? And second question what your players think about foundry? Im asking this because one of my players had like one or two game sessions in foundry couple of years ago, and at that time he got feeling that players side UI is very complex maybe even overcomplicated and hard to grasp for a newcomer.

SO I use two modules, Wall height & Levels. It makes it easy to build multiple levels and stairs or elevators going up and down.
So, base Foundry for me will have 4 buttons(token, measure, drawing, journal) each of those will have a secondary row when clicked but they are all hover for label and have tool tips that pop up with them. You can also turn off drawing. R20 has 6 and some options under half. I will agree that Foundry has a learning Curve, more so like always for the GM. But I find this as a Pathfinder Player because, like everywhere, priority support is for newer systems. But I had to put in all the codes and buffs for R20. So if you can figure that out Foundry should be no problem to people.
I reccommend having them look at the web page for Foundry. There is a DEMO game you can log into as a player. Its PF2 but it will let you see the settings and how the system generally works. There are also games on YT and other people that show around the system.
