Sorry to those who wanted to see the rest of Ch20. Pls forgive me for hacking the ROM for my own sanity.

It's alright, man. Sometimes shit like this happens, and sometimes the best thing to do is fold, or just skip and move on to something else.
For those curious about Chapter 20, we just met up with Kent, who becomes depressed because of his failure to protect Caelin. In exchange, we do get Bruno, an old man General who's loyal to Caelin, and the Lycian Alliance has agreed to help us get Bern out of Sacae. Before we can meet up with Dayan again, we need to take care of these Djute. In the end, it seems the Arslan have gone and killed a bunch of Kutolah, and Dayan's gone missing. He'll probably be fine.
As for why these Djute have a Magic Seal in the first place... well, Ninazu gave it to Bern, so Uraguchi and a nameless soldier decide to deploy it for obvious reasons.
Sadly there won't be any more recruits for a while. I think it's just two more units before the endgame.

Video suggestion: Lord character design from gameplay and possibly even story perspective

I've thought about it, but don't really have much to say on it. I think with Lords it's like Jeigans - there are some classes and builds that are best suited to fit in for most games, but others that will be more niche and harder to balance around.
I think a big reason IS constantly gives us sword lords (in the old days, more mediocre sword lords like Roy, Eliwood, etc.) is because they're easy to slot into any army any offer some type of utility without encroaching on the niche of any other unit. When you start doing other types of lords, the likelihood of them encroaching on other niches increases.
I think Marth is a good example to look at - he is a sword lord w/ a rapier, a classic FE combo. In FE11, Navarre and Ogma exist as early, sword-wielding infantry, yet neither feels like they 'compete' with Marth. Generally because their combat is a bit better out of the gate, but also because Marth can do a few things they can't (use the rapier, visit villages, use the fire emblem to open chests). Even though they are similar on paper, the use cases for each unit are slightly different.
Kinda rambling here but I think that Lords should probably be 1) generalists, 2) occupy a unique combination of niches, but are not the best for any one situation, 3) use a weapon type that you want to deploy multiple of anyway. Jeigan style Lords are different and also interesting to explore imo. I'd be curious to see a specialist Lord, but generally units that are hyper good in a single niche are better as optional choices versus force deployed throughout the game (assuming your Lord is!)
I've definitely grown more fond of "Lord as a Chess King" as well, and it's one of the reasons I like Roy and Leif a lot as Lords, and find the more modern Lords that are often your best unit to be a bit less interesting to work with.
