THANK YOU for watching, and a big thanks to Martin for sharing his time and his insights into the making of Stargate! We'd love to hear your ideas for the future of the channel -- let us know in the comments below what you'd like to see here.
A fandom based web series called "Wormhole X-Treme The Next Generation" with inputs and ideas from Martin Wood and other cast and crew members to make a really great story.
I’m so glad they talked about the characters. There are so many sci-fi shows that I just can’t watch because the characters are not likeable or relatable. The personalities (and relationships) of the characters on Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis are a huge part of why I love the shows so much. Thank you Martin for bringing these stories and characters into my life. ❤️
"A Matter Of Time" impacted me on such a massive level. I was only a child when I first saw this episode. It opened up a new perceptive on reality. And the suspense of it all, I was on the edge of my seat. Admittedly left me with some lasting irrational fears. But still to this day, after owning all of Stargate SG-1 and seeing them all many times, A Matter Of Time resonates with me as one of my favorite episodes of the series. Thank you for this part of my life.
Yeah I think when they had Corin that year he did a great job and they really developed his character even though it was for a short time. So yeah fleshed out characters. The best PERSON for the job.
Excellent interview, I was thoroughly engrossed. I'm so stoked for another Stargate series. I think I'm going to have to binge watch the old shows again.
Thanks for this! He explained things in such a way, I felt like I was there with him 😄 Always working with new cutting edge things is risky and not easy, but that's what made SG so special.
Jack, Amanda, Teal'k and Daniel will always be family for me -- for eternity. I know: "It's just a TV show." But, not for millions across this planet! Wacky Jack and brilliant Samantha will aways be my uncle and aunt who I admire. Strong Teal'k is my special protector who always has my back. And, moral and inquisitive Daniel my counselor and advisor. And, Dr. Mckay the crazy smart uncle with a heart of gold, who always makes one cringe and laugh at the same time.
There simply is not a sci-fi show airing today that has the loyal viewers stargate has, if it came back as a tv show it would crush everything in ratings cause it would be filling a huge void that no other tv show filled all this time.
Dan well mandalorian is good but I still doubt it gets as much views as stargate would considering the only place you can watch it is Disney plus and that weird af Star Trek reboot failed so hard.
I believe that there should be a proper ending to SG-A just as they did with SG1 with The Ark Of Truth and Continuum because Atlantis final episode was kind of idk a cliffhanger and everyone one can agree that the last episode of SG1 ended with a lot of unfinished business lol
I enjoy meditating tuned in thoughfully in conversations.... When ever you feel ready to eventually pic me up to the rear side of the Moon, please give me a heads up so that I can get my backpack ready for SG1 excursions... 😄 Beaming me up ... Ok Beaming in EBE's ? Would be great but probably we are not allone !! Sending by a shuttle when I am having a hike at night? Yes please 😁 Telekinetic Augmentations would be great! How about to hover with my body to reach some places nearby for example?
My question is will there be another stargate? I would love to see something like a spin off of stargate universe. I saw the rattings not being that good. But i think they can do something to make it better or just come back home somehow and Try something new. But i would love to see a non earth show Settling down on another planet like Atlantis did.
I want to see another Stargate series because there will always be another major Bad guy hiding behind a moon or nebula which is what is great about Space and Science Fiction. The Universe is vast so is our Galaxy there will always be more bad guys and more civilizations on planets we haven't discovered.
Regarding the episode Martin mentioned (Politics), kudos have to be given to Ronny Cox's acting to portray and make believable such a despicable character.
The only way the show could come back is if someone from the SG cast or past directors/writers somehow purchased the rights. I agree and it scares me to think that maybe, just maybe the show could come back and someone from this generation gets involved... **shutters** it would be hot garbage. The SG1 episode "200" where they pitch the show idea with a teen cast of actors and their drama made me laugh because they call out other show writers of the time and how ridiculous the story plots and dialog would focus on. I suspect a show now would be about being politically correct and and dropping f-bombs for no reason. We need the Stargate of old, but handled by only those who took such great care of the franchise back then.

Thank you, Martin for being a great director and a really nice guy.
Oh my! A Director getting into the water with the cast... amazing fortitude.

RIP Stargate. "Lost City" was one of my favorite episodes along with "There But For The Grace Of God."
I hope it comes back, I really do. Definitely keep the character relationship dynamics alive
Sounds like the ideal, get-down and dirty-with-them Director, compassion, expertise and sympathy.

This show is brilliant and I hope he'll be able to show that to the world soon if it comes back :D
The world needs Stargate.
I love this show so much I hope they resolve things already and make a new one.

#DarkMatter renewal,... I Still can't believe it was cancelled just as the Black Ships arrived from another dimension.

also appreciated by myself!
It all comes down to money. Great interview

rod2.0 universe had a much worse cliffhanger, if they were to resolve either of them, I would say do universe
@@danonstephen847 hell... do them both on DVD/BLUERAY

As much as I enjoy SG1 and Atlantis, I would not like it brought to ruination in our current culture.
