If another problem is brought up during a physical, MD needs to do something about issue ie order a medication, order a test in order to bill an office visit along with the physical. Can’t bill office visit just bc you discussed a new issue.

To clear this up about the routine physical. When your insurance covered the ROUTINE PHYSICAL at a 100% there are only certain things that they will cover. If you bring up a medical issue UNRELATED to the routine physical it will cause a separate charge. A good tip is to be clear you are only there for the physical AND get the list of lab work they want to do and check with your insurance to make sure they are routine test, for example vitamin test and shots are usually not covered 100%
