- Update: ownership has changed and this hotel is now called the Grand Hotel. Not sure if the hotel is different otherwise.
This hotel is a very old and interesting place. It almost appears as if it's been expanded multiple times. It has a bi-level lobby, connecting floors 1 and 2 directly by ramp. Floors 3 through 6 are accessible by the elevators, however only one elevator serves 6 even though both have doors on 6. On the east wing, there are entrances on both the 1st and 2nd floor. The rooms are a little lower quality than what I'd expect at a Holiday Inn, but nevertheless the place is decent enough.
I wonder why the hotel chose Onity locks that have deadbolt for the game room, laundry, and business center. 😝 I’ve seen other hotel put ones without deadbolt for those type of public access rooms.
Typically they do install ones without deadbolt on common areas, yes. I'm going to guess that they didn't want to order multiple lock types and just got all locks with the deadbolts instead.

Have you heard of the Curtis hotel in Downtown Denver? We stayed there for my dads work, it was pretty nice, I filmed a tour of it.
Ah yes actually! I know that hotel quite well. I have some friends that live in the Auraria Student Lofts portion of the building.

@@AydensWorldTravels that's true, it is locked. I'm not 100% sure, but I thought the hotel elevators and resident elevators both stopped on 17. I also don't remember finding a service elevator there, so I don't think that would be an option.

We stayed in this place on one of our trips out west when I was a little kid... so late 70s/early 80s. The bldg. looked VERY different before a remodel sometime in 2010. (You can still see what it used to look like by doing a street view in GoogleMaps and going back to 2009). I want to say these were some 3rd party with GAL fixtures. I'm with you... what could be the possible reason for not having both cars go to the top floor after the mod?
