It's just a breakdown of game modes...I thought it would cover some lesser known game mechanics (which ARE in the combat lessons menu in training) but no, it's some top 10 clickbait trash telling you how to navigate the main menu. How the hell did this get more likes than dislikes, botting?
problem is telling new players to just play libra of souls is a terrible idea because they could put hours into it and just get pubstomped in ranked because of certain mechanics and play styles you can only learn from seeing/reading/experiencing when all you've done up to that point is abuse a certain combo vs cpu.
Or as a veteran of previous SC games since 4, why both grinding levels on Libra AND killing the antagonist before reaching 30 hours may leave you with a certain fight that is very, very difficult... (Hint: that's no "nightmare"--it's an INFERNO!). While guard impact is easier on this game than previous installments, it's still a skill that will take practice to use effectively. Thinking on your feet and improvising by varying combos, while decent, won't be enough to save you when your opponent's counters and recoveries are at full machine speed, and its offense strategy is timed as such to exploit your momentarily vulnerable animation frames. Even combo cancels might only be a 50/50 proposition for the same reason because while you're cancelling movements the CPU is actively calculating your most probable next moves at the same time and will be doing what's necessary to mess that up any way it can. You have to hard-read their tells in a fraction of a second. Easier said than done as your reflexes DO dull with age, so you will see a lot of stuff before it happens but be too slow to stop or counter it. Invitos work but only if you can keep your opponent off balance--to which Inferno often just flips the bird and spams the obliteration sphere move where he's just out of your reach. Like Night Terror did with his chest laser.
Im playing Arcade mode until I get comfortable with a few characters. I havent played a modern SC but play SC on my Dreamcast regular. 1 of the greatest games of all time may I add.
Yep minus the fact that you can get Soul Points to spend in both Soul Chronicles Mode and Arcade Mode without having to convert gold in Libra of Souls Mode. Along with CaS equipment you buy in the main shop outside of the shops in Libra of Souls is good for both Libra of Souls Mode and the Character Creation mode.
Create 'em, Copernicus... The video clearly states that you'll be able to create whatever character you want to create (even other licensed characters - if you know what they look like).
Some people have already made pretty convincing 2B fighters using the CAS. Dante shouldn't be hard. Give him a red trench coat and use either Nightmare or Siegfried as you fighting style. There. Done.

She doesn't fight anything like Freddy and it was still passable. That's the fun of character creation, they give you the tools to make characters that will never make it into the game otherwise. Very rarely do the movesets work perfectly for the created character. I wouldn't put any hopes in Dante making it into a Soulcalibur game anytime soon. Bandai hardly put any money into the budget for this game, so I wouldn't be surprised if this becomes the last if it doesn't sell well.

problem with ushering new players into non pvp modes is it teaches bad habits, most cheese strats work on cpu and even on the hardest difficulty all you will learn is a better defensive strat. Believe me the slog of new players just button mashing is not fun to fight against so if you got soul calibur for ranked then look at guides and watch informative streams because learning a game from pve is just going to end in disappointment.
TheJurnalyst It’s okay. I personally feel that past games had more customization options, however, Soul Calibur 6 has a pretty solid system as well. They plan on bringing more options with dlc so maybe that will help.
It's super good. Not a lot of overt options, but with the color tweaking, icons and patterns you can turn what they give you into almost anything. When creativity wins, the customizer is really good. I fought Ronald goddamned McDonald, earlier today. As Darth Maul.

The amount of clipping in this game is abhorrent. The creator is the entire reason I bought it and it's honestly pretty bad when compared to previous titles. Characters don't even hold their weapons, they just clip through their fists. Make a character in a long skirt and guess what, their legs clip straight through the skirt mid attack. I can understand some clipping issues when using a lot of layers but with two layers, or a god damned weapon!?! No.

I hate that reversal edge shit. Especially when characters have it built into main attack combos. Too easy to accidentally trigger and even if I get the hang of it other scrubs might not....
Character creator is insane? Maybe on the surface. Dig deeper and you see that some of the best custom parts were not brought back and this clashing shit is still a problem

All of your tips are invalidated by #1, which is literally the only tip in this line up that makes sense. Everything else the game teaches you if you simply go into practice mode and check out the moves/look at character tips/info.
I does have tutorial, and also training mode, and you can see the move list to literally every move in the game, this video is horrible and the people that made it weren't even trying. probably just made a video on sc because it's trending now.

I know you guys don't have time to dedicate to really understanding fighting games, as they are some of the deepest of all games and require a lot of time and effort. +Matthew Smith I should also say that if you are looking for a video idea that I haven't seen done that would educate people and show them one of the more interesting systems in the game, go into practice mode and look at lethal hits. They are moves that break armor and have very specific parameters to them. For instance, do such and such move ten times and the next will become a lethal hit stunning your opponent leaving them open for followup hits. I think people would find this system very interesting and no one is talking about them.

Character creation is terrible in this, it wasn't great in 5 but you had more to choose from and more you could unlock on top of dlc
Do u have different weapons or only same weapons
Not sure I understand the ask but all characters have a few different ones to choose from.
every character has their own weapons, and when you create one, you can choose any of those for your character
All of your tips are invalidated by #1, which is literally the only tip in this line up that makes sense.
Everything else the game teaches you if you simply go into practice mode and check out the moves/look at character tips/info.

I don't have the game but I"m guessing it doesn't have a tutorial like tekken 7. I really don't like that. i wish all games just had a tutorial.
It has a tutorial. And it has Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced Tips for each character that are actually valuable to know...
I does have tutorial, and also training mode, and you can see the move list to literally every move in the game, this video is horrible and the people that made it weren't even trying. probably just made a video on sc because it's trending now.
1st tip is "go to training mode" are you actually for real dude? This is a fighting game any1 who is searching for content about a fighting game on youtube is way passed training mode basics. Smh. Infact it's not even a tip. It's common sense behaviour.

+GamingBolt Sure man, I'd rather reviews educate themselves and help people get into these incredibly deep games. I know you guys don't have time to dedicate to really understanding fighting games, as they are some of the deepest of all games and require a lot of time and effort. I'll take notes and write up a response. it's good to see you guys wanting to improve rather than solely fishing for clicks to make that money. Expect my run down on your review tomorrow. I will post it here, then in your review itself.
+Matthew Smith I should also say that if you are looking for a video idea that I haven't seen done that would educate people and show them one of the more interesting systems in the game, go into practice mode and look at lethal hits. They are moves that break armor and have very specific parameters to them. For instance, do such and such move ten times and the next will become a lethal hit stunning your opponent leaving them open for followup hits. I think people would find this system very interesting and no one is talking about them.

Besides it is still not possible to fully customize our character like changing the shape of the eyes nose mouth and face... And God I'm sick of these same crappy haircut from 2005. Some mobile games offers way more than this game. The character customisation is good tho
