The only thing I can see that bugs me a bit with these animation is that most of those hammer-fired pistols are double action - there would be no need to recock it if there is a failure to fire, you'd realistically just pull the trigger again. But that's really a minor detail.

Normally it makes no difference since the slide recocks the hammer, but if the hammer is down on those guns the trigger won't move or do anything. Regardless though in any serious setting you would never bother trying to strike a round again that already failed to discharge once, you'd just rack it out of there and keep shooting.

Im a follower of the game for a while now, I'm completely amazed everytime I see this kind of stuff done in Stalker, the community is the best I've seen.
I love the attention to detail. When your character goes to try and pull the hammer of a internal Hamer pistol, he Remembers there isn't an external one and racks the slide instead.
These are excellent weapon animations. They’re quick, concise, accurate and stylish. A lot of weapons animations I see are just so indulgent in the gun porn side of games like Stalker.
I've never had a SIG or a Glock jam on me, whereas Kimbers jam all the time. I had an aftermarket 10-round mag fail to feed properly in my SIG/Sauer P220, but that was due to the mag, not the gun. I've had soft-point ammo jam in AKs before too, but that's an ammo issue. I've experienced stovepipes in shotguns, but they're easy to clear. Also, double-barrel shotguns can't jam. They can misfire as a result of faulty ammo, and the hammers or firing pins can break, but the gun itself lacks the parts to jam.
It's almost embarrassing to see a Game set in Russia have people remember the Forward Assist on the British L85A2 when most games set in the West forget it almost everytime. Well done Stalker!

everything was pretty much spot on except for the P99 - the most common version of the P99 is double/single action; You don't have to re-cock the striker if a cartridge's primer doesn't go off. You just pull the trigger again.
Most of the pistols showcased are dual action but the animation team did it this way because recocking the hammer is a lot more visually interesting than pulling the trigger again.
I know it's an obvious detail and isn't that big a deal, I love how the Five Seven is actually chambered in the correct 5.7×28mm, and you can tell by how skinny the casing is.
i do wish weapon jams were still a think now a days and in multiplayer i'm sure if weapon jams were in multiplayer it would help a little with those who is just keeps killing and capping each point without teamwork
There isn’t a AK101, it’s just a ak74 use as place holder for unfinished weapons, currently the mod is still in beta and there’s lot of work to do. For the current build, the G36, PKM and Ssg550 are being replaced by AK74 LR300 is replaced by L85 Groza is replace by AS VAL Spas12, M1300 and Protector are being replaced by Saiga12

Man I wish more games had firearm jamming in them. Far Cry did, but then forgot about it....like so many of their other mechanics that got lost between games. Stalkers jamming is the best I've experienced in a game.

Actually, there’s no AK101, that’s just an ak74 as place holder for unfinished guns. Right now ak74 replace ssg550, L85 replace lr300 and as val replace Groza, the mod is still in development so they had to do that.
There is one thing that irritates me that is the stovepipe The bullet failed to eject and is stuck but it still has anough power to fly out the gun instead of falling out even though all that momentum was lost due to it being stuck (still my favorite stalker mod)
Im not sure what theyre defining as misfire but in my definition misfire means the primer didnt go off and the bullet is kaput and youll have to eject it. But judging by this video that the animations arent seperate atleast to me the bullet didnt chamber after he manually ejected the jammed one.
I just love how this guy just fixes so many pistols with out breaking a sweat, but the fucking far cry 2 guy over here smacking guns. it's kinda funny tbh

Light primer strikes too after clearing the malfunction. As if charging the slide didn’t reset the striker.
I’ve never had a malfunction with my Glock either though. But I did read that the army had trouble early on with their Sig m17’s.

Sadly, due to the nature of how Gunslinger works reverse engineering it is incredibly hard. It uses an injector instead of classic file placement.

I think that TOZ-66 could use another animation for clearing the jam. Maybe something like animation from TOZ-34 - opening and closing it again?
TOZ-34 is reset strikers when opens up, so character doing same job on both guns, but different ways

Better if the pause was just nonexistent or 30% of it, because you found it's jammed and you need to reload. Without a second of waiting staring at the ironsight.. But also nice look.
