Modding bikes always is a up and down emotional roller coaster ride I know I have heavily modded and customized 4 of my bikes myself which have won me 9 trophies from shows. My poor wife would hear me b super happy one day when things went right then super agitated and pissed off the next day and regretting I ever bought the bike when u run into mod challenges that open up a can of worms that get u so frustrated, but when it’s all said and done and I bring that trophy home it was all worth it. So I can totally relate what u guys go through in your videos which I highly enjoy because I have been through it many time too. Keep the vids coming!…
Love the work ethic! Mostly the solo cups and real world shit like everything going wrong and getting aggravated. I still do that... threw my bike lift out my back door after a rotor and stator repair job went sideways. Wifey just stayed quite and brought me a busch latte.
That carbon fiber looks great! This is the first ive heard about that clutch problem. Glad to see it now, im thinking about buying a '20-'22 Electra Glide Standard. Will be worth fixing right off the bat. I lmao about the tools 😂 I was bad when i was younger, real bad. Tools through overhead door windows, smashed my car windows, caved in fenders lol. Yeah, not good lol. Don't do that anymore thankfully. Funny how little projects can get things twisted.
Bike still looks good. I'm personally not a carbon fiber fan, but works well in that application. Eric's tools are building up those frequent flyer miles...I can relate. Pretty easy and I mean really easy to see why Eric gets um...distracted...yeah distracted while working and filming these projects. Just 3 TWSS moments today, and in no particular (sure...right) order: "Want me to pull this out a little bit?" "I have smaller hands." "They're old nuts..." Ride safe friends!
Yes guys..the plastic clips on the newer rg and sg models (minus the 2021, which I believe was Hydraulic) have been known to commonly break and you will be stranded. Cyclefanatix did a video on this I believe with mad max. I got the fat bagger clutch adjuster also. That and the stock shifter linkage has also been an issue also. So i would change them both. Good work guys 👍
Have the same 22 ST and also put the fat bagger in because I heard of the issues with the clutch plastic parts. 10k miles and absolutely happy so far, that is with heavier clutch springs and Mueller Ezclutch as well.
Boys will be boys. My husband taught our grandsons to sing "I got the whole world in my hands" while peeing outside. 😔 The angle of the left bag looks off, must be the camera. I used the fatbaggers clutch adjuster on my RG. We changed my bars to 16", hubby put clutch back together with stock plastics shit. 9 miles from home It let go. (insert more 4 letter words). Hubby is much better at "getting things home" so he drove it the 9miles back home and there she sat for 3 days until we got the part and then did manual adjustment to clutch. Ya know the fun stuff. WORKS awesome. When hubby did his SG bars to 16", the plastic stock shit went right back together and no issues 2 years later.
Man i love it. I have an 07 fatboy. I want to do some things but I'm just not sure what direction i want to take it. It has factory bags and windshield on it now. Kinda want to do an st fairing and hard bags. Likely gonna be a smoked windsplitter and hard bags due to money though.
Not sure why people still mess around with those old bags.. My 2010 has factory HD 2016 bags on it from a guy with the same color bike that had to go to those long extended bags.. Bought his two stock silver one touch bags for $100 bucks.. Even the aftermarket ones are not expensive and so much nicer to use than the old outside latch bags and the shape of the bottoms are much better IMO as well..
I have to ask... Are you changing your suspension because of the bottoming out or banging since you put on those bag guards. I ask this because that is just what happened to mine. I put the same exact ones on and then noticed that I felt like I was bottoming out . I wasn't. The bars were banging against my swing arm. They actually rubbed up against the rear brake caliper hose...

Definitely worth doing right away! Sometimes things just have to fly! 🤣
Tire huggers. Haven't heard that before 😂
🤣🤣 rare annoying breed of people

That's hilarious with the song! 🤣🤣 it's definitely an odd place to decide to use plastic!!
Cool and very nice
Thank you!
It just takes a little "finesse" says the man with Huge Finesticals!
🤣🤣
Preemptively changed out for the ez clutch adjuster and an upgraded shift linkage on my 22RGS
Smart move!!
Nice job. I wouldn't even attempt doing what you did.
Thank you! It's not that bad!
Bike looks great!
Thank you!
Cross treading nature's lock tight 😂😂😂
🤣🤣 I like that!
Very common for the new clutch cables to break there. I keep a fbi kit in my toolbox all the time now
Good call!
Love the carbon fiber. What is the weight difference between the original and new CF?
The factory rear fender is 9lbs and this is 2.
i replaced my upper clutch cable with one from magnum and they conver to a conventional clutch adjuster .... they also offer it in carbon fiber
Good call!

That would be awesome!
300ex and nice through Eric😂😂😂
Thank you thank you 🤣
👍👍👍👍👍
Cover your license plate..cycle fanatics had a problem someone hacked his plate and caused him problems
Thank you

Completely agree just didn't want to have to worry about someone trying to paint match these older bags
True John of cycle fanatic said someone stole his license plate info and he got charged hundreds of dollars in traffic fines
What’s the rear fender to fit. Thanks. From au
It should fit 1997-2007 touring bikes. But check with Geezerengineering.com to be sure!
Why did you choose Geezer fenders? How do they compare to other mfgs of carbon fiber products? Thanks
They are really good quality, I chose geezer engineering because of having a 2005, it's my only option for a rear fender
Where did you get your bag guards. Bike is looking awesome.
They are Amazon specials, only because I didn't want to spend big money on another brand that I would have to modify to fit as well
I have to ask... Are you changing your suspension because of the bottoming out or banging since you put on those bag guards. I ask this because that is just what happened to mine. I put the same exact ones on and then noticed that I felt like I was bottoming out . I wasn't. The bars were banging against my swing arm. I have no issues with bottoming out. The legends are 13 inch set to very stiff for my riding style
what jack is that seems easier and quicker than a regular lift?
It's called the Let's Roll
letsroll.store/ref/40
Yes, fat baggers is the way to go. Good upgrade
Thank you! Solid insurance
So what was this $50 magnet for the fender?
That's by Figurati Designs, it covers the bolt thru the fender for the saddlebag supports
🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟
300ex
You need a lift table..
Thanks! We have one! What you didn't see is the Road King on it with the transmission out in the garage lol
@VPCustoms Sorry. ya, I forgot. Maybe you guys need another one.. haha
@ You're not wrong! Haha
