In this tutorial we show you how to install a screen on a Sony Xperia Z5. This video is not only a Xperia Z5 screen repair tutorial but will also show you how to re-assemble the phone for many other Xperia Z5 repairs.
Sadly your Xperia Z5 will not be waterproof anymore after this repair.

You will need the following :-
If you are doing a Xperia Z5 screen repair you will need a new screen with an adhesive kit.
1) a hot air station or heat gun
2) a plastic guitar pick
3) a Jewellers Philips screwdriver kit
4) a iSesame Opening Tool or equivalent

I dropped my Z5 compact in water. It dried out, it turns on, but the touchscreen doesn't work.
Do you think changing the screen will remedy the problem ?
And before you say it, yes I know it's supposed to be waterproof, but it wasn't. It was only 4 weeks old. I sent it off to Sony, they sent it back and said it had been tampered with, it hadn't, and when I received it back the rear glass was smashed too. I contacted Sony, they said it was like that when they received it, although I sent it in a big box, and they sent it back in a plastic bag !!!

My old screen worked visually just touch screen didn't followed your videos and it powers up to where I can see it go lighter but no home screen . Any ideas

After placing in the new screen all I get is a blank display, the backlight turns on, touch screen is working however no display. Does anyone know what the problem could be.

Hey people.
Have a sony z5 screen replacement.
Tested new screen and it was working fine.
So I reassembled the phone.
Tested the screen after glue.
So continued. At last Part after i pushed the Loudspeaker in the screen only had White colour.
Thought maybe some contact are not ok.
Took speaker out. And it worked again.
So pushed it back in. Again not working right.
I have then Took the sticker from oldu screen on the connector of New screen but now with or without speaker the screen stays white no Image.
Can you please help ?
You're supposed to put on 3M adhesive or equivalent tape to ensure the battery doesn't move around before you reassemble it fully...
The original adhesive was still in place... With that stuff there the battery is not moving anywhere!
