All those excuses for not listing items, yes excuses because thats what they are, sound very familiar 😂 I have things on the shelves that have been there years that I'm still procrastinating over 😂
Buying the stock is always the best part! I tend to get overwhelmed if i have too many random items and hat somehow makes me not want to do anything lol
Watching your vids always encourages me to keep slogging away with my ebay selling.. i've been only selling books to ziffit recently and making some decent return on those, but i need to start doing ebay listings again. thx!
I would happily suffer from your procrastination, the one where you still manage to record, edit and upload content. Really beating myself up over my death pile and i can't snap myself out of it 😢
I try and pick up stuff and sort it. Which works some of the time, then i have to tidy up and a couple of things get put somewhere safe. Now i have dozens of safe places and I don't know how many in these safe places. I feel your pain.
The irony - Procrastinate listing the items, and then in the grand scheme of things you go overboard with the actual work involved, by filming , editing, nad uploading a video about the troublesome items. hahah! :)
Always can count on your videos to open your eyes to something new or a different perspective. It makes total sense that someone creating a certain period design will want the cutlery to match… 🙏
I think you should have a chess-timer by your side and you should 'click' it every time you work, think do research on a product - When it's listed, you should tally up the minutes/hours you've 'Worked' then work out your hourly rate - That's before! the picking & packing - You might find the reason for your procrastination - Good luck though, and remember, most people on a 45 hour week in construction average around £300- a day .......
You are not alone Nic. I have piles of stuff in my garage that needs listing. I console myself with the silly thought that the longer I leave it in the garage, the more it will increase in value!
Im also guilty of regularly procrastinating and getting distracted so much so that I usually bulk list over items a hit these days when I find a time my mind is most productive, even if that’s between 12- 4 in the morning lol
I have a massive collection of crested china for my own town. I also have vast amounts of it stored for other areas. I hate listing it on ebay as it never seems to sell. If I have rare pieces, I might get watchers but not buyers. Many areas just don't seem to have any collectors.
It’s not just you. On my business account I sell clothes which I have no problem with, but on my personal account I’m working through a lot of random stuff from my mother in law’s house and stuff that needs research or is hard to photograph or needs cleaning just gets left.
the worst part is when you'll leave some stock for such a long time, by the time you get to it the price has changed and you cant make a profit on what you bought it for anymore
oh you're definitely not the worst! With me it's al of the above plus flooding my workspace with tat, which I then have to move in order to work, but that's work, and it's not fun and and and.... I know, another cup of tea and start in a minute...
I have trouble with playmobil I have about 4 lots listed but none selling seems to have stopped selling i have about another 15 lots some boxed to sell
I rather list a $15 shirt or jeans than to test and list an item that needs to be cleaned and tested. If the item is heavy and needs a lot of packaging then I cannot make myself list it.
@@NicHills Its great when boxed and sealed ha ha but when its loose sets or Minfigures... I'm about a third of the way through 300 mini figures and im glad to be listing something different today, ill be listing while listening to your live soon
Nic, I keep a notebook, which i call my brain dump book and load all the stuff i need to do in it. It helps to clear my mind and organise my day.
Love that!

Yes I experience overwhelm too, I find picking out a few things and focusing on just those few things helps avoid overwhelm...

Safe places... LOL - places to hide stuff :)
There is nothing better than sticking a CD on and relaxing, Nic.....except sticking a CD on and listing!
Love the Jeff interlude

So true!
@@NicHillsbut it shows your dedication. I really admire that. Love your channels.

I appreciate that!
My strategy to list tedious items is to not force it. When I’m in the mood I grab one or two such items and list. Over time it adds up.

I'm so glad we help somehow!
lonnie recommended you, now you have a new subscriber ;-) greetings from Germany
Mouse trap!!! Ball ache to check! I’ve got 3 of the bloody thing
You are an even better procrastinator than me :)

Well done Nick
Love your channel :)
Thank you so much!!
I’ve had some great cutlery lately but eBay kept taking it down, took out the word knife and they still took them down!!! Good luck
Yes, we've certainly had issues with anything to do with knives!

Your not the world's worst procrastinator. I am. Listing can be very boring.
Warhammer bundles are difficult getting in pictures takes effort and detailed pictures. Worth it though.

I have good days and bad days.... but certainly have an issue of ignoring certain stock and focusing on the 'easy' stuff
I have trouble with playmobil I have about 4 lots listed but none selling seems to have stopped selling i have about another 15 lots some boxed to sell
Thanks as always Nic. have a nice evening
Thanks, you too!
That tray looks very much like a shoe shiners tray that they used to carry around cleaning shoes.
It’s hard to keep motivated so we try and list a minimum of 5 each a day and schedule them. Hope you guys are well
The thought of it is always worse than doing the actual thing...
Procrastination is the name of the game if you didn't Nic wouldn't be Nic lols
this is why I bought you the mug 🙃
And it's still my favourite mug...
@@NicHills or do you procrastinate over which mug to use lols

Yup, I hear you, avoiding stuff that requires effort!
because ites really f%$king boring. I used to hate doing listings like those.
I think you're too hard on yourself tbh 😮
Maybe :)
Lego… always Lego
Lego I find easy - isn't it strange...
