This is great and so true. I asked God to help me in 2021 to read the bible in one year and also to be the first thing I read everyday. Praise be to God I made it. Before I use to fit it in my daily routine and sometimes I couldn't make it and felt discouraged. One thing I experienced is the more I read the bible the more I long for more. Yes I wake up at 3:20am I exercise and read my Bible. Starting today I will read it every night before bed too. I also go to Bible study on Wednesdays and Church on Sundays... I am going to start remembering the scriptures too!!!! I need the Bible I need Jesus to conquer each day. ❤ EDIT: I also Praise Dance and do Drama ministry practice on Thursdays my kids sing at church. My plan is to always be around Jesus he is my 🛡

Amen 🙏 all it takes is getting over that hurdle sometimes that won’t let us pray or read the Bible distractions and a lot thing but once you start is harder and harder to stop once you meet Jesus you can never be the same again even when I first heard his word no matter how many times I was in the world in sin it still stood with me rooted in my heart and eventually Holy Spirit did his job and brought me closer to our making our savior and lord Jesus Christ
I want to read the Bible but I have developed cataracts in my eyes I can't read. I had 1 removed but am blind in my left eye yet. Going for surgery soon as long as my friend can take me. That's why I haven't had them done till now. My friend had issues with taking me. Please pray for me that I can get this surgery done and that the doctor does it right so I will be able to read my Bible.

Online, you can have the Bible read to you in certain formats. I use the NIV or the NLT, those formats have the read aloud programs. I prefer to have it read to me, I understand it better that way.
As a former Catholic who attended Catholic school for 12 years, thank you for shedding light on the apocrypha and the difference between that and the canon and how it came to be. I do read out of a Catholic Bible but I have KJV as well. I’ve almost finished the entire Bible and I started reading back in January 2023. I did finish the New Testament already and it blesses me tremendously daily as I continue to reread it. Thanks for the study tips as well.

So I as well have many Catholic Bibles in my house that have been left behind and I too have KJV that is my go to. Recently my 21 yo daughter kept saying how much she liked my pink KJV Bible so I gave it to her. Learning what I have today is truly eye opening about the apocrypha. I, as I always do, wanted to confirm, got one of my Catholic edition Bibles and was like whoaaa…. But, what was really comforting to me was how I never even realized these books existed, even though I had Catholic bibles. I wasn’t raised Catholic, was raised Protestant and went to a weekly organization called Awanas where I learned the Bible. God truly does work in mysterious ways ❤
Pick a book (Romans, John, proverbs , psalms, Ephesians) and do ONE chapter a night until you finish that book. Or even one VERSE every night til the book is done:) that’s what I did I have a 5 month old baby, I work, and go to school still preparing for nursing so that’s how I do it with my busy schedule! It works! And the transformation Jesus has done in me is so incredible I would NEVER trade my time in God’s word for anything and I never used to even read it ever

I am completely agree with you, just wanted to add one more step for bible study: SHARE. Every day share with others what God spoke to you. The more you give, the more you receive.
