Hi. Been following you for the longest. Love your your videos and analogies. I had a similar debate with someone in your discord. This is the way I see it. A curse cannot stand alone, it needs a human. Either to produce it (as in curse techniques), to create it (as in curse objects and tools) or to anchor it (as in shikigami's -Mahoraga and Rikka). While curse spirits are self sustaining curses that occur naturally. (as in the ones Geto eats). Sukuna WAS human at some point, Then made himself a curse and bound himself to his 20 fingers. (So Heian era Sukuna- altered human. Modern Sukuna- Curse). Which makes sense, because why would a curse be the queen of curses and a human be the king of curses. Furthermore, JJK was a bit rushed in my opinion. It has so many unanswered questions. This makes US, the readers try to complete it with assumptions and what we feel is the most likely explanation for somethings. Making a JJK debate on some topics really dicey. Oh one more thing. I'm an upcoming mangaka myself😄, would like you to read my manga sometime and tell me what you think.

As someone who is obsessed with this manga and someone who has literally not gone a single day of the past year without looking at the JJK manga, it always annoys me to no end when someone tells me to "read the manga".
This is why I don’t take anyone who says “JJK has the worst ending of all time” seriously. Like I’m not gonna sit here and try to say the ending was fantastic but it was fine. But this level of reading comprehension is why so many people think it’s as bad as they say.

Maybe I am wrong but who knows if we get clarity. I really really hope we get to see the two of them as close to what Sukuna wouldve been if the twin never existed.
The last line was the perfect way to order the chef to start cooking a generational yap and honestly sukuna being the ultimate curse terrorizing both sorcerers and humans is the best way to explain why everyone just see his as a curse itself
It's amazing that this has to be explained and there are those who are wrong and strong about it with a disrespectful tone. I firmly believe these people did not read the manga. These are the same people who would not like Hunter Hunter because it has too much reading while skimming weekly videos about it and still complaining about things like no Gon or action. I do wish we could've gotten a lot more background on how Sukuna ended up this way, including the development of the technique that made the fingers, but it's clear very early on that Sukuna is not a cursed spirit. It would actually undermine his character, in my opinion, because being a cursed spirit, to him, would be beneath him and he'd be contemptuous of it. He doesn't care about cursed spirits very much and treats them like fodder, as he does sorcerers.
Sukuna was born as a human/sorcerer, but considered himself a curse due to how he was viewed by others. He then became a cursed object and incarnated into a host. His after life is similar to that of the other curses because he didn't have any attachments to life, no place he considered special, no one he loved, until he recognized that he was still loved but too stubborn to accept that which is why we see Urahume and Yorozu(?) We see almost the same blank backgrounds with Jogo when he was exorcised and he considers Hanami and Dagon the only difference is the shades of the background. Jogo and the disaster cursed spirits were given a white background as they were in fact curses while Sukuna is given a black background as he was a human soul.

Its such a simple concept that so many people can't understand. Curses are spirits that are born purely out of our negative emotions. Sukuna was an actual person who was born from both his father and mother being humans. Why he started dissapearing is even simpler. He was a reincarnated soul that needs a living host. If he is split from his host, he will just dissapear bcs has no body. Literally that simple, he has no body. If any characters soul was to be pulled out for their soul would just stop existing.
