- In this video, we will be looking at the pros and cons of owning two vehicles. It certainly is nice to have more than one car. I love both of my cars. They are both my babies! Awesome automobiles.

Both rocksolid, but I admit the Lexus does feel a lot more premium. When I drive it I feel like I need to listen to classical music and be fancy or something lol
I've actually got 3 SUV's. Some pros are never having to get a uHaul, able to spread the miles across all 3, i plan to use one for Turo to make some extra money, and being in the snow belt, ive lent my trucks to family during snow storms so they can drive safely. I own 2 and have a loan on one and all 3 are luxury suv's.
The maintenance is insane and major repairs are sickening. Full synthetic oil changes are $100 each, tires are over $1000 total for each car, insurance on all 3 is about $400 and premium gas fill up for all 3 is about $100 per fill up. I just had a major brake and radiator job on one that cost me almost $2,000. On a funny note, i also have very limited parking now. Also, people get jealous seeing you in multiple vehicles. Especially at work.
3 is excessive so i may give one away to a family member for Christmas or something.
Three cars ! That’s impressive I must say. You see, when you have multiple cars, you can never worry about putting too much mileage on one of them if you take turns alternating what you drive. That’s how I handle my Toyota and my Lexus. Maintennce and fuel however for two cars is enough for me. If I ever did get a third car, I don’t know what purpose it would serve for me.
At first I was wondering why you would even need two cars? Then you said Uber. Yeah makes sense. One car will take all the rideshare miles and the other doesn’t. Genius !

You need at least two cars per driver in case one breaks. Even the best cars breakdown. Something as simple as a bad tire or battery can turn your life upside down.
Absolutely true! When my Toyota Corolla had to go into the dealership for some sort of fuel pumprecall, it took the dealership an extra two days because they were backed up. It was OK for me because I just had that Lexus that I could drive in the meantime.

I use one for Uber only and later Uber pay sucks so many I won’t have the Corolla for long

True. I use the Toyota for Uber only and just that. Rideshare only car. My Lexus remains my personal car and the one I like way more.

I see that you use one car only for Uber. That’s pretty smart, and you do it part time as well. You are not overwhelming your Toyota Corolla with 60,000 miles per year like full-time Uber drivers.
60k miles per year on a car is a lot! Look A LOT. I only put between 16k-18k on my Corolla with Uber Driving and 8k-10k per year on the Lexus IS.
Both cars are good, but the Lexus is probably the one that makes you feel like a superior gentleman lol
It kind of does, but it’s not a Rolls-Royce so I don’t feel that superior

If I had the same two cars and I had to sell one because I’m broke, it would sell the Toyota. The Lexus looks so beautiful. It’s almost timeless in design while the Toyota will not age well.
Well that’s because it’s a Lexus. The designers over there definitely emphasize on more timeless designs. I love it.

I feel more comfortable just incase 1 breaks down you know you have a back up,i have a VW Golf 1.9 TDI which is my daily for work
I have a classic old Vauxhall Cavalier for the summertime at weekends and also if my other car is on the garage for service 😊
Same here. I use one car for a purpose. I use the Corolla for Uber only part time. Then I work from home now so the Lexus isn’t driven as much. It has become the weekend car kind of lol.

I am lowkey planning on Getting a Chevy Impala SS 2008 as my second car. I plan on keeping my 4-banger Honda as my daily.
The Lexus IS250 used to be my daily and now it’s just a fashionable little weekend sports sedan. As for the Corolla? It’s the daily now. I assume you will have the Impala as your cool little weekend car.
I live on a dirt road, so my reason for having two cars would be small economical car for commuting when the dirt road is in good condition, and my current small 4wd car for when the dirt road is super holey or there's a snowstorm out when I have to get to work. Also it happens that my 4wd car has problems (many), so I definitely would be using my second car when my primary car doesn't start (happens more often that you'd think - can you guess the make?)

My second car would be a Toyota iq, because I don't have much extra driveway for a big honker and ive always been obsessed with microcars. I do want to get a tarpaulin carport and house my wheelbarrow and the future iq in there. I do plan to trade in my jeep eventually, maybe for the upcoming toyota compact truck? Or maybe Honda will release something cool that's 4wd or awd. My jeep has a ton of cool features that I love and just wouldn't expect an iq to have, so while it's not reliable it sure is useful... but we'll see how it survives. I've only had it for a little over a year, not even a year and a half! I've had to call roadside assistance 3 times when it didn't start and the fourth time I didn't even bother - I just went to my mom and brother and they decided which of their Hondas to use! I dont think jeep is as bad as say, saturn but i would not recommend buying a jeep as your primary vehicle especially if you're pinching pennies.
FYI my car is a 2016 jeep renegade.
My mom has a 2018 honda hrv (and advertises it whenever I complain about my car (a lot))
My brother has a 2011 honda fit. It pretty much works as well as the day my mom bought it but the frame is rusting unfortunately.
That’s a nice story. I find having two cars to be incredibly useful because of the fact that you could totally alter every other day. It’s something that I fine to be a privilege.
If I had a Lexus IS like yours but black, I would call her “Lucifer”. Looks like an awesome car. Oh…And I would have the faster IS 350.
Yeah the IS250 is still pretty fast but the 350 is way faster. The ultimate IS would be the IS-F.

i currently have 2 cars fully paid off . One is a saturn sky and the other one is a 350z . The saturn sky got flooded last year so now i own $2000 for the rapair ( it was $3500 total but they let me pay $1500 and the rest in 3 months) so the thing is that everyone ( mom and wife) are telling me that i should sell my 350z to be able to pay the $2000 for the repair on the other car and i don't really wanna sell it . i like both cars and i rather work hard and save the money than selling that car😅😀 i like having two cars because when one of them brakes i don't have the need of taking it to the shop right away even if i don't have the money to repair it and i don't have to ask no body to let me borrow no money. i can just park it and leave it there til i get the money myself and use the other car in the meantime. it's very convenience
350z is awesome. I used to have the G35 Infiniti coupe a while back. That’s the same car but basically the Infiniti version with backseats . Two cars are super convenient and I feel I don’t put too many miles on either one. Just having the option of being able to alternate is awesome !
@@KingDrewPhilip it is! and in my case my insurance rate plan is cheaper if i have 2 cars so. I only pay $62/ month for both ! i think everyone should have 2 cars specially if they live in areas like the one i live in where there's no bus no public transportation except uber ( which is way too expensive) . i like your video! i wish you the best Andrew 👍🏻😀

I used to have 2 vehicles as well I used to have 2 lexus I had the 2014 Lexus IS250 and 2019 Lexus ES350 but I sold the IS250 and by the way in the beginning of your video we see your license plate already so it was no point in bluring it out but we can make it some of the license plate on the Rolla as well
I wonder what software I can use to blur it out? I know that you need to be an actual police officer to really dig in on someone with that license plate info. But still I would like to blur it out if there was a way.

I had a crv with a towing capacity only 1500lbs and I am thinking get a second pick up truck
In my case, both of my cars are just cars. It would be nice to have an SUV as the second car. In my case I have a luxury Lexus sedan. I use it as my weekend car, or take it to church on Sunday car Haha.

If you own two cars and spread the milage and wear and tear between the two vehicles - the major repairs will be fewer in general.
Facts. The Lexus is certainly a refined ride. The Toyota isn’t as smooth but it sure is reliable. In fact both of them are. Phenomenal cars
