Jewel's version is absolutely fantastic - how some people couldn't see her beauty and angelic voice is completely beyond me.

yes it is a movie. the girl ran away from home and wants to return but lost her way back. So these songs are what the angels are sending her.

Got it now, his name is Ossie Davis, Trans Siberian Orchestra has a DVD called the Ghost of Christmas Eve- 2001. You can find Christmas Canon, the original with the kids singing..

oh well this song is one of the songs in a dvd compelation of christmas songs by transiberian orchestra, and through out the video there's a bit of a story line about a homeless (atleast i think she's homeless) girl who takes refuge in an old theatre and these "spirits" come and play music for her.

has anyone else noticed how Jewel's hair keeps changing from being combed neatly behind her shoulders to being loosely on her chest, and back? Especially obvious from 1:28 to 1:40.
she didn't seem to make any greater movement onstage, so i can't see any explanation for her hair getting messed up now and then... lol
i love her singing, however; much better than Mariah Carey's exaggerated version. and btw that's a really beautiful dress, too!

I like this version of the song best! It's really lovely to listen to. Mariah Carey sounds like she is trying to hard. At this song i mean. This version was more natural and sounded more like a christmas song. loved it!
You'd have to see the whole TSO DVD to understand why they have the girl there, it really doesn't make any sense in this clip.
