Does this work with via the Steam overlay? I.e. can I send an invite via the Shift+Tab overlay (Invite to Play or Invite to Lobby) and then receive the invite in-game and join the session? Thanks so much for any guidance you can give. Thumbs up
@@esotericgamedev ah I see, I manged to get the steam overlay to work and send invites, however the join session keep failing for some reason would you have any points to why it keep failing?. As I am using the advanced friends game instance, with the "event on session invite accepted" and it find the person unique net ID.

Can you make a tutorial for voice chat and proximity voice chat? I heard Epic games release a free online service for that across all platforms. But if not Epic I also heard Steam has one. Trying to learn myself, but you really taught me alot for the previous tutorials and saved me alot of time

mmm intersting. im curious how i can set a variable to tell my widget that i want to show the invite button only when in lobby. ( so in my online menu i can only see who is connected) ive made a open level thing where it's tells my gamemode that im in the multiplayer menu. but how to get the right target for a widget ? edit : you know what, il simply do a double widget of that one but without invite button in and cast that only one in menus
Could you please explain how to transfer Ammo/HP or whatever trough levels ? Mine always reset to default and i dont know where to store them, to game session ? Because player characters get destroyed when loading new map, I am an 3d artist so i have no experience with coding and nobody (or at least i did not find on YT) explains this. And i am not talking about saving game and loading it, just to carry progress from Level to level.
dont load a new map, you need to travel the server over to the next level, instead of doing open level do execute command and then the command is servertravel "mapname" , without the "s

i have issue with variable type i cannot see bpfriends info in variable 2:18 or anything related to bp in variable (started with totally new project)
you have to use the friends game instance and not the normal game instance
