Father and son both receive cochlear implants to improve hearing, speech

After Randy Adam’s saw his young son, who is completely deaf, receive a cochlear implant that replaces the function of his damaged inner ear, the 35-year-old was inspired. Profoundly deaf himself, he learned that he might also be a candidate for the procedure and device, and decided to try it.

I found it oddly satisfying too. Imagine if that's just what we all did... we would whisper by hiding our hands, we wouldn't have to listen to other people arguing and interrupting people or speaking over them would be near impossible
