It’s been 20 seconds and I’m already concerned as to how little privacy these people allow and as to why there is no midwife or nurse there to assist with the birth despite them obviously being rich. Could be just be misunderstanding, but man why a first impression-
Well in real life Noble and Royal families had to make sure they had legitimate heirs. They wanted to make sure there was no fake pregnancy. Or if the baby died , witnesses could testify that there was NO foul play. No baby switching either.
Anyways- I like taking not of a few things, so I’ll make a more physical note here if you don’t mind! One of them is people I think are stupid/stupid things certain people did in the story in order of when I saw/thought of them: *1.* The emperor. Why? He literally told the Duke to *“calm down”* not more than 5 minutes after his wife’s death, probably even less since he was informed, and *maybe not even a minute* since it was *suggested* and *advised* by a *royally employed wizard* that probably seemed respectable up till then that his *two newborn daughters* should be *killed* on account of *some abnormal doctor assessment of their birth* without even trying to *comfort him* or *sympathize* in any way *at all.* *2.* That guy who literally *threw a rock* not only at the *newborn daughter of the Duke,* but also *while she was in his arms,* a sign that he did indeed *care about them,* and making there a chance he might *hit the Duke himself,* both showing that this action was quite the fast way to prison, homelessness, debt, and/or the afterlife, especially since the Duke is so famous for his military accomplishments and can wield magic. *3.* Definitely not Cheeto. He’s an absolute sweetheart and I love him. He could do, say, or thing nothing that is either factual or morally wrong! *4.* Both of the magicians that check the girls and everyone that believed them. Why? Because the Devil? Seriously? THE Devil? You mean the same Devil that is *immortal,* at least against mortals and worldly death and is always referred to with male pronouns? Please. Even saying she was the reincarnation of a demon would make more sense. Even though the first point is still true about demons, at least there are multiple of them and aren’t referred to as a specific gender. *Later me when I see that it is canon:* What in the world is this story- *5.* Again the emperor. I mean I don’t support his intentions at all, but if he’s going to act on them, couldn’t he be at least a little smarter about it? How in the world could he be so stupid to be able to fail to do anything to Tina for 7 whole years? *6.* I’m sorry, but Suti. How can she “never understand why her sister cried so much” when her sister is literally called the Devil and everyone besides her loved ones want her dead? I would have thought that she of all people would be able to understand her sister’s crying the best. *7.* Bulu. He obviously was not raised by the same father as they were, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he was an adopted commoner/was a commoner until his mother married the Duke, and now thinks that he’s so much better than the regular nobles because he became a noble “because he was special and deserved it” while the others were just there because that’s how they were born. He’s just overall stupid and bratty. No idea how the Duke hasn’t kicked him out yet. The same thing goes for their other brothers. Besides Robert. *8.* Sorry again, but this one is both of the sisters. Why did they just stand there and watch their only kind brother get pummeled? Of course Tina stepped in “eventually” (as said in the video) she went about it in a stupid manner. What did she expect threats to do? It could only convince anyone that could come and help that she started it or that said anyone should leave. What would attacking do? Sure it might stop the beating, but it could just turn it into an actual fight, or maybe even war, between them, and the exact same thing, no, a worse case of it, would be true too. Additionally, neither of the girls tried to get Bulu to stop verbal and victim-like way which could have alerted others to what was going on without making them the villains if nothing else. Even if they somehow couldn’t do that method, why didn’t they go and get a servant or two if only so that said servant or two could report it to their father? Why didn’t they themselves report it and the bullying to their father? Actually, Robert might be a part of this one, why didn’t he report it to their father? And the other is the fun little weird sentences you find in the recap ,that were probably accidental, here and there and why they are/feel that way to me in the same order: *1.* “The empress was furious with anger.” *Why:* Rhetorical with nothing about her before or after it for many sentences, so it also feels quite random and unimportant, and yet the empress being furious sounds super serious so- *2.* “Casa, holding her daughter in her arms, knelt before the Duke and greeted him. The emperor was glad to meet the Duke, and asked him to get up from his knees as soon as possible. Cause Casa had many merits, the emperor respected him.” (Starts at 12:57 in case you want to hear it yourself) *Why:* A lot. I’ll try to unpack it all. This is basically what you would be able to extract from it: Casa is apparently a girl for a sentence, one of his daughters either doesn’t exist or was left somewhere without it being mentioned in the same sentence as their father is apparently their mother, the Duke kneels and greets another Duke who is for some reason referred to as “the Duke” but maybe it’s himself because the wording isn’t very clear, then the emperor shows up out of nowhere without us being told and is presumably talking to the Duke that was called “the Duke” in the previous sentence (aka the one that Casa knelt to) and told him to “stop kneeling as soon as possible, suggesting that Casa knelt to him when he was already himself kneeling and because of something he was unable to get up for a period of time, but then out of nowhere we are told the emperor respects Casa despite not even acknowledging his presence yet. *3.* “The Duke was afraid that his daughters would be hurt and harmed” *Why:* Just rhetorical! I won’t add all of those types because usually there are quite a lot in recaps! *4.* “Because his beard was quite long.” *Why:* As a daughter of a man with a very magnificent beard despite having to do little trims every once in a while for work reasons, can can safely say that the wizard is a total and utter newbie! :D *5.* “The Duke had a very important mission, he must replace both father and mother for girls.” *Why:* while I assume there was supposed to be a “his” before “girls,” but replace? Is he going to abandon them or something? Does he have an illness that slowly kills him like the Dukes/fathers do in some other novels? *6.* “The sisters loved each other very much. It was very charming from the side.” *Why:* Well that was specific- is it not charming from any other angle? *7.* “The fact the girls thought that they were the most beautiful made my brother a little angry” *Why:* It’s meant to be 3rd person (he/she/it/they) instead of 1st (I/we), but this way make it seem like the recap-maker, /you if you’re actually reading this, is siblings with fictional characters! Fun how English can do that right? *8.* “The twin brothers rolled their eyes at Tina and Bula. They were amazed by the girls strength.” *Why:* It sounds like they rolled their eyes out of amazement, and secondly, twin brothers? Ok, I think I’ll have to move on from this one! It’s not because of your narration, I’m just not really a big fan of the story! While it could end up growing on me, I’ve watched this for about half an hour, about halfway through, and nothing important seems to have happened since her mom died, and I haven’t gotten much explanation regarding anything really. Sure she was revealed to be “the reincarnation of the Devil,” but even though there was tension and threatening opinions voiced, nothing serious has come of any of it, and it doesn’t feel like there is any tension anymore, just the same kind of disdain rasters hold for the mc when there’s some prophecy that people speculate and believe is about her but have no confirmation of such. Sorry, have a good day/night!
I don’t mean to be mean but one should at the very least put the name of the manga at the start on in the comments rather than making us wait for it and you not responding
