This week’s ep. was so good I just watched it through TWICE and it still made me laugh out loud again 😂 I love Bob, I love Eamon’s dancing, I love Bec being a #badass errand gal, I LOVED the music and the transitions (so good guys, honestly), and I loved that no matter how frustrating everything got, you guys stayed positive! It took almost a week to get to watch this weeks episode, man alive you've got some great friends and your positive attitude is inspirational. Enjoy the lye in when you get chance to grab one Eamon, but I don't think errand girl is going to allow you one anytime soon.
The only RUclips channel I’ve watched for over 2 years and actually kept up with every single video. Every Sunday I wake up and get excited because I know your guys video is up. Thank you for making me part of your life ☺️
Ahh what a compliment!! Thank you so much Maddy 🙏! We appreciate you and are so grateful to have you along for our adventures. The best is yet to come ✨
Same here Maddy, I’ve lost count of how many years I’ve been entertained, amazed, motivated by these two beautiful souls. I don’t expect them to respond to this comment but I wish they just read it and know they’ve helped keep me alive. Actually, this girl was enjoying the electrical process. We’re not just about the giggles, woots and pink 🧐🤨 Trent to the rescuuuue! Love Trent and Allie. I’d send him a box of butter cookies for the tips ❤️
I agree! I can't even imagine how many butter cookies Trent has consumed...and apparently Pumpkin chocolate chip are his real fav. I Love Eamon and Bec and Trent and Allie!!
Can I be the guy that STRONGLY recommends a fuse and a switch at the end of that busbar as well as putting a panel in front of those batteries to protect them and the busbar? Or maybe even splitting it into 2 banks with separate switches and fuses? And while you're at it, re-check if all the connections are still tight. Loose terminal connections create a nice spark and under load maybe even a nice arc. 600 amps makes for a nice welder (small nuclear meltdown is more precise) if things go wrong...
I think the batteries look "neat and clean", but I wondered ... if because of vibration, driving around, since cables would flex and give, the bus bar rigid connection might stress in one spot and one single battery connection become loose, without it easily being noticed?
You guys do such an incredible job of telling a “story.” You capture the perfect moments to make me feel like I’m totally invested right along with you! I smiled so big when the lights turned on! 😍🙌🏽✨
You know you’ve watched A LOT of van life vlogs when you hear the name Trent and you already know it’s Trent and Allie. No video clip needed 🤣 Got to say I’m going to miss seeing Bob when y’all hit the road. We ❤️ Bob!
The pink sheets! I have searched all the linked items but can't find the sheets! They are so sweet pinkish... Love Bob! And super happy to see mention of Trent& Allie🤎
Something that helps me get through these trying times are lovely videos like these, my wonderful therapist, amazingly supportive friends and fiance. On top of COVID and the US's terrible handing of the pandemic, my little sister (29 and mother of 4) died in a car accident. I've been through the loss of family members before but this hit me much harder. The silver lining is that her death solidified my decision to join bus life and van life. If all goes as planned (which it probably won't 😆) we will have our 40 foot bus built out and we'll be ready to hit the road. Then, probably 5 or so years down the road, I'll be building the van of my dreams to take us to all the places our 40 footer wouldn't allow. Thanks again for your great content and I wish you well on the rest of your build!!
Thanks to the video of a group of van travelers in Morocco at the beginning of pandemic, I now feel like I have some great entertainment to watch each week. You guys, Trent & Allie, Kombi Life, The Indie Project. and a few others RUclips brought to my attention. Saving a retired expat in Mexico from loneliness and boredom during quarantine. Thank you all.
I got my boyfriend into you guys and let me just say it’s such a nice way to start off a Sunday morning. Get breakfast together and watch Eamon & Bec with him. Thank y’all for making Sunday mornings a little more interesting !!
Same, but it’s Monday morning for us in NZ. We’ve just bought a caravan for a year-long travel adventure, so no electrical needed, but he’s still wanting to upgrade everything (of course!)
Dang that’s a very very sweet clean electronic setup you have. If you were to have to pay Eric, what would you owe him? I mean, tons of work you both had to do for all that to work. Glad you got it all done and have power now. For Bec’s question: In AK we’ve pretty much been doing the same thing. They opened too early and have had to revert back to social distancing; re-closure of indoor eating in restaurants/bars. So it’s work home social distance. Fortunately in AK we can fish, camp or hike and not have to be too near people so that makes it easier to get out and do stuff.
When Bob said "Did i screw up? what's making you feel bad?" Oh my heart! What a great and attentive father. Bob is amazing and must be protected at all costs ❤
Love how Greg and Trent, fellow van lifers are helping you with the new van. Also a Shout out to your friend Eric! And everyone else involved! Love you guys! 💗🌎🐾
When this van is done, can you guys do a video showing us how much it cost to build? Including bits a bobs like hiring someone to put in insulation and having so many batteries and buying the van itself?
Thank goodness you corrected the wiring! Part of upgrading a vehicle is the big 3 - alternator, wiring and batteries. Every cable in between needs upgraded as well.. and you always want to use the cold crimp (hydraulic) because it literally fuses the copper together. Get some good marine grade heat shrink that has the adhesive lined internal and you are good to go! P.S. Upgrade all the grounding wires on the vehicle! All the motor to body, motor to frame and body to frame grounding. Use the same wire size or bigger for the ground.
Great video! I just wanted to share with you why crimping those large ring crimps is better than soldering them. The solder can crack and cause a poor connection/break. When you crimp them, the copper strands are effectively cold welded to the crimp. The cold welded crimp is much more resilient to vibration as well. The crimpers for these things almost look like big bolt cutters. You can get them on amazon for pretty cheap. Probably too late for this anyways but knowledge for the future! Edit: i should have watched the whole video hahahaha
Eamon , there is also a rubberized stretchy tape that you can use to cover the connection points on your busbar to battery nut and bolts. I used it on my van build and it works great. You have lots of power there ! Don't take a chance of grounding one out ! BIG KABOOM !!!
7:48-7:56 was very interesting how the chemistry was exchanged as Eric walked in front of Emon. Eric glanced at her and Bob in a weird way then when Emon has the camera on Bec and Bob they both looked startled and like they were doing something they weren’t supposed to be. She makes a strange face like she almost got caught, then throws her pant leg back over her thigh and giggles in a fake way. Meanwhile Bob catches them coming in from his peripheral vision and slowly turns his chair facing Emon while snapping his attention to him. Also when Bob brings up that Bec made lunch it’s like being used as an distraction. Not sure if she has something going on or not with Eric or Bob, but it caught me off guard immediately and I replayed the clip a few times to insure that’s what I saw.
Kinda not as weird as it seems. Eric is in a strange environment, meaning he’s not going to be as comfortable, explaining his awkward posture and facial expressions. As far as Bec, opposite of Eric, that is a place where she is relaxed, that’s her daily environment. I think she was just embarrassed that she had zoned out and realized when she was being recorded with her pant leg all messed up and she fixed it quickly when she realized ( she realized as she was being recorded). Also I think she felt bad she didn’t already tell her BOYFRIEND about the food first, especially since he’s been busting his ass and the fact that the electrical has been so hard on him, maybe she thinks she should of offered him food first. I did not notice ANYTHING weird going on. The only thing I think is fishy is that Eric keeps calling himself an electrician.. which hmm 🤔 really lol. I think he’s going to charge them an arm in the leg for nothing.
ive been watching this couple for a while now and i was shocked to find out that i drive by chaiwalachai almost everyday as i get off from the highway what a small world sometimes eamon and bec are two very special people and i hope the best for them
Your content is great, lots of things to learn and understand. Great job, thank you ! As an "image guy", I'd highly suggest you to film all close-up sequences with your AF system off. I don't know which camera you use (probably a Panasonic or Canon), but the autofocus system doesn't work like you'd want it to. Exemple : 1:34 background is sharp, you are blur. When you hold your camera at arm's length and film yourself, there's no need for any kind of AF : both camera and subject remain at equal distance. So, locking your camera in manual focus mode shall guarantee you'll get sharp images 100% of the time. Unless you want to frame something else, but you seem quite good at montage so editing sequences should make no problem for you. And some cameras allow manual focus with AF "assistance" just with touching a button. Would be very helpful in your case, but I can't know whether yours features this convenient function.
Thats an epic power system. With system on this scale watch out for inital surge currents when systems cut in. They can be a whole lot bigger than you expect. If you just think its big enough, double it. Can't do any harm and may save your 'but' later. Way to go Becs, tidying up the rough edges. Safety first!
I’m a little concerned about those bussbars you have on the batteries. They look to be 200A capacity. The 5000w inverter will draw well over 500amps at capacity and could surge to 1000amps. Also, the correct way to wire the bars across those batteries is to stack additional bars. So 1 bar from batteries 1-6, add an attritional bar between 2-5 and then an additional between 3-4. You would connect positive and negative between 3-4. Also, 2/0 is not capable of 500 amps either. - Just phasing it along.
I would have had some fusible links between the batteries as well. If you get into an accident with those bus bars, there could be one hell of a flash arc / explosion if those two bars ever touch. The energy density of the LiFePO4 is much higher than your typical lead acid and the amount of energy in that string would scare the crap out of me without some safety issues in place. Driving at 50MPH and have someone pulling out in front of you, those batteries will become projectiles. They need to be in a secure steel box / strapping that is bolted down. I would echo what Scott is saying as well. A 5KW system at 12V is totally insane, should have been at least 24V or even 48V. That wire isn't anywhere near large enough. Also your soldering method, those are all cold solder joints. A room temp wire being dipped into molten solder without any flux aren't going to be good over a few heat / cool cycles. When you have a mechanical joint under movement a crimp connection is much better than solder. Solder will put weak point right at the solder joint. NMEA and ABYC both don't allow solder joints on marine platforms for that very reason. In vibration prone areas you have to use mechanical connections like crimping.
ckhallock88 Yeah, there is a lot to be concerned with. The most likely issue is the bar between the closest to the 2/0 wire connection and the 2nd battery. That part of the bar will have to withstand 500amps. I’m not sure which will fail first, the 2/0 or the bar, but certainly, neither are capable of the 500amps and that doesn’t include peak pull.
Eamon was right to check the wire sizes !!!! There was another remedy, which I am using for our system, inspired by you guys in general if not specifically. If the electrical system were configured at 24V instead of 12V, you could have used half the size of wire. Most things in a van can run at 24V and if you need 12V or any other voltage, then a voltage converter is an adaptation for various other loads at any other voltage. For instance, inverters, fridges, compressors and other heavier loads will run at 24V. This is efficient and saves wire. The way to set up a 24V battery bank in this case is to run not all six Battleborn units in parallel, but to link two parallel groups of three in series. This cuts the amps in half and doubles the voltage. Performance would be the same, if not improved. It also matches the higher voltage produced by a massive bank of solar panels, given the solar controller you have. Anyway, loved the adventure, as usual!
I’ve been following your channel ever since you built Trinity... planting small seeds in my mind for my own future van build. I’m so glad you are open about showing problems/mistakes encountered during the build process, so when I start building I can go “Oh yeah, don’t do that because that will happen....”
Lebenna1999 and you really need to get over yourself in these comments. I love how Bec and Eamon isn’t apologizing for what was said because not everything is said in a way to offend. And you can’t make someone feel bad for something that wasn’t done on purpose to hurt anyone. You gotta know what not to respond to smh what was said isn’t a problem at all I’d love to hear everything that comes out your mouth since you wanna make this seem like a problem so bad.
@@Lebenna1999 Maybe you should put some things into perspective here. There is really no need to attack Eamon and Bec over a silly comment. I was simply making a point that women don't need to be boxed into liking one thing or the other. Some people aren't into the more technical stuff and thats OK too. I've learned so much from watching this van build series and I don't see a reason to knock down other humans for having different life experiences than me.
Love you guys so much. This pandemic has been really crazy. I'm a Veterinary Technician and we're considered essential so I've been working this whole time. Where I live the law Is you have to wear a mask and we have clients who walk up to us and start coughing with no mask on. We've turned clients away because they refuse to wear a mask and they just start yelling and cursing at everyone as If we're doing something wrong. The world Is a scary place right now and all we have to do Is wear a mask and that'll hopefully help each other out a little, It's not that hard I'm not sure why we fight It so much. (We as In humans not anyone reading this comment.) Have a good day everyone!
Hey George, sorry to hear about the craziness at your work. It is so true... wearing a mask is a very small ask especially when it means you can save a life! Hope you continue to find happiness with all the lovely animals that come into the office!
@@susiemama1464 Wearing a face mask will not prevent you from contracting COVID-19 but It will HELP prevent you from spreading It. If you light a candle and blow on It with no mask on and then put a mask on and blow on It again that shows that It Is much harder for your breath to get through the mask. That means breath, spit, and germs don't get through the mask as easy and don't travel as far away. Wearing a mask and maintaining six feet will HELP all of us not spread It and helping each other Is all we can do. Plus you can have COVID with no symptoms and when testing there's false positives and false negatives all the time so you can never be sure, so until there's a vaccine for us all why risk It? We need to look out for each other. Sorry for the storybook. Have a great day/night.
Eamon before RUclips were you a contractor/ carpenter? I am so impressed with your design skills, and all your knowledge! what an amazing freaking job! soo rewarding I bet! kudos to you and Bec!
This is like a convergence of all of the (I dare say, a cut above) van blogs that I find myself watching. Greg V. and Trent. Both are Dudes who are infinitely capable, and a great source of knowledge.
whooo!! the wait is over! I love watching your videos every week and every Sunday is always the best!! Thank you so much for inspiring me with chasing my own dreams and thinking big! Your videos are THE BEST!! I can't wait to see where this van takes you!!
I'm watching this 2 years later but, wow. Power/electrical for a van build is so intense and I'm definitely going to have to hire someone. Eric is amazing but so is Eamon. It's like you guys can do anything. Must be great to be so smart.
I was getting nervous when I saw you solder those cables at first... glad you corrected it, because proper crimping is definitely the right way to do it! :)
@@maitlandmoore6426 It doesn't need to be an expensive hydraulic crimp tool, there are really cheap Hammer Crimpers which work just fine... soldering is a bad idea for those thick high amperage cables.
Your videos are the best part of my Sunday. I look forward to sitting down with a Chai latte and catching up on your adventures all week. Thank you for making me smile!
Only you guys could make what would otherwise be a mundane watching experience of electrical wires being installed a fun thing to do. I have absolutely no idea what you guys were doing, but your energy, positivity, as well as your amazing editing skills turned this into an enjoyable experience. Looking forward to your continued journey and wish you nothing but the best.
What a rad compliment!! Thank you so much for sticking through the mundane bits with us! Those tasks really are a majority of the van build process so it's important to us to share it all!
I rewatched all of your old videos because i have been missing you and have not heard from you guys in a while, whatever you are doing and feeling i hope nothing but the best for todays and more. Thank your for bringing smile to my face everytime you guys uploaded a new video. Just wanna say i love love and care about you. All what's matter is your happines and wellbeing first XOXO
...Bob’s shock/drama face 14:09 is truth...also yay for Bec sporadically popping in to smile/cheer everyone up during all the beyond algebra wiring stress...good job done with good friends...
Love your set up!! Could you PLEASE do a vlog of your DAILY UTILITIES USAGE once you’re in the van full time? Everyone shows their power grid and diesel setup and talks how “it’s more than enough for them”, but for us (van-live starters/wannabes) this doesn’t mean much. How long and how often do you run your cooktop/lights/AC/heater, etc.? Do you ever make tough choices like “do I use a stove for 10min or run AC for 25? This would help us have a more relative comparison. Thanks, hope you see this!! ❤️
Wow! So excited that you’ve gotten the electrical issue resolved. Must be really nice to be over that hump and enjoy your dimmable lights. Well done. Also, thank you so much for your videos. It’s such a lovely pleasure to sit down and watch and catch up on your new home journey. Thank you for the lovely diversion during these crazy (USA) times. Also love watching and seeing Trent on your vlog as well. It’s like wow, my favorite RUclipsrs are friends. All the best to you. Good luck with your next projects this week. And again a Thank You!!!
I think you will struggle to find all the components you want to install at 28Vdc. You would either need a commercial trucking platform to start with or a DC/DC converter. Then all the lights and charge controller, inverter, etc need to be 28Vdc. Theoretically it is the better way to go but your copper savings likely won't cover your extra money and head ache along the way.
Why on earth do people use "dislike" ??? If you don't like the videos why watch them ?? Eamon and bec are great at what they do and to be fair the videos are always great.. keep up the work guys.. new van looks ACE !!!!
@@eamonandbec I was not expecting you guys to reply so quickly.. haha that's crazy.. I'm currently watching your new video you posted .. great to see how far you have come with the new van.. what's the plan are you going to drive back to I think it's (Africa) and get the other van ?? Would be a good video going back to her and both driving one back :)
So glad to see you guys got is all sorted out and it only took half an hour 🤩 the van is looking amazing and can’t wait to follow your travels. Hope our paths cross again on the road. Best wishes Greg & Lou xx
@@eamonandbec This is not what he meant, it was sexism. If it's going to be said can we at least not make excuses for Eamon's words. It should be a 'sorry, I didn't mean to negatively stereotype women', not a 'Eamon was referring to me'. I'm a big fan on your channel, partly because there doesn't seem to be such gender stereotypes and norms within your relationship. It was refreshing to watch.
Yeah I was also really disappointed to hear that tbh... why make the assumption that women are only interested in the aesthetics of the van and not the functionality? It was a quick moment, probably didn’t think much of it, but I was offended and low key disgusted by that comment. I am a woman studying to be an engineer, which is traditionally a “man’s field”, and it’s that kind of attitude that keeps the gender wage gap alive in those fields.
Sitting here sick this weekend. It is great to have this to watch while keeping my kids away from me. Hopefully its just allergies. My hubby is an electrician and constantly has projects going here...some of which require re-dos like this. Fun stuff. Great job and I'm sending this video to my husband now since he is avoiding my room just in case.
Ok you two. My husband has been super addicted to your channel; now it's the both of us. You two are so genuine and fun. I really love everything you're doing. Keep going. You bring heart and happiness just by the fact that you're you. Also, cried the ugly cry when Rojo went to his new home. Thank you for bringing us into your lives. Amazing.

I love that you guys are buddies. ☺️ Your power set up looks insane! Wish I could afford all those Li batteries! So so sorry for the loss of your little brother, it is good to hear that at least you're able to be lifted up while watching these videos. Hang in there....
I think a big lesson after the back and forth we have seen in the comments, is that words hurt. You can’t say “people are so sensitive omg get a sense of humor” when the comment “the girls must be so bored” was made. In my physics class electrical section, I was the top student. Yes I beat all those boys in the class. But still a comment was made “Oh you’re good at making circuit boards. For a girl anyway.” I don’t care if Eamon’s comment was referencing Bec. That didn’t come across in the video. He made a blanket statement. What’s even more frustrating is that I have yet to see a comment from them apologizing, or an apology on social media. I’ve only seen excuses. I’ve been watching this channel before most of you were here. I’ve been watching for three years. I’ve watched them grow tremendously. But as public figures, you have a responsibility. You can’t shrug your shoulders and say “it was a joke get over it.” We’ve heard it before and invalidates the feelings of the female engineers, electricians, and electrical workers in the field.
From my new fav shop Indigo Luna 😊 I actually reached out to them for a little code as I've been getting SO many Qs about my outfits from them so you can use code BEC for 10% off :)
Eamon - I admire your "out of the box" ideas. The rigid bus bars being one I've never seen in a vehicle. I wonder if the rigidity combined with vibration and flexing of the vehicle could put undue stress on the battery terminals as well as introducing loosening of the contacts similar to the issue of soldered battery cables. In a non-mobile, solid framework such as a house, the bars would be a no-brainer. I'd solicit opinions from Battle Born and perhaps some boat builders. That big of a system would produce some serious heat and/or arcing if a loose connection occurs. On a side note: I went with 4o (0000) cable on my batteries. On my circuits, I upgraded to at least twice the recommended wire size plus the absolutely shortest runs as possible in hopes of keeping voltage drop to a minimum. Good Luck! Anxious to see how everything works out..

Needs more upvotes to get attention!
I think the batteries look "neat and clean", but I wondered ... if because of vibration, driving around, since cables would flex and give, the bus bar rigid connection might stress in one spot and one single battery connection become loose, without it easily being noticed?
Would individually 'grounding' each battery to the chassis help prevent most major problems?

You know you’ve watched A LOT of van life vlogs when you hear the name Trent and you already know it’s Trent and Allie. No video clip needed 🤣 Got to say I’m going to miss seeing Bob when y’all hit the road. We ❤️ Bob!
Haha you’ve got good taste in content Kat 😉! Trying to convince Bob to join us for a trip!
For real!
Yep, same! Haha Trent and Allie are one of my favorites.
Yeah lol and the Greg was greg Virgoe who is quite big in the UK campervan self build world.
Yeap, we all know which Trent he was talking about
Earmon “Don’t listen toTrent!” 24 hours later *Earmon listening to Trent*😂
Haha so quick to call out a friend... but also so quick to learn from his mistakes. Got to take the good with the bad 😂
Trent seems to be able to do everything.
Trent's having trouble with his electrical... just sayin'.. 😂
@@pamelas9 Yeah, he just realized he needs to switch a lot of it to 12V, instead of trying to run everything off the inverter.

Absolutely love seeing Trent in this video! Always loving hearing and seeing yous all help each other out, gotta love the vanlife attitude!!
Love how my fave Van Lifers are all connected - Eamon and Bec (n Bob), Trent and Allie, and Max!!
Yes, you bet! We’re all in this together 💜
And Scott @comeswithaview #canadastrong
Also Kara and Nate

That was such a mammoth task! Bobs face when eamon tells him you might have to do it all again 😂😂
Hahah pretty much summarizes how we all felt that day 😳
I cracked up when Bob asked "What, you got the Covid?" 🤣😂
Ahhh! Trent!!! Love Trent and Allie! That just made me soooo happy 😊
Hey Gayla! So happy to have you join our adventures!! Welcome to the madness 😂. Happy we can offer some entertainment throughout these strange times 💜
I got my boyfriend into you guys and let me just say it’s such a nice way to start off a Sunday morning. Get breakfast together and watch Eamon & Bec with him. Thank y’all for making Sunday mornings a little more interesting !!
Awe you BET Gabi! Thank YOU both for making us a part of your Sunday morning routine 😊

Same, but it’s Monday morning for us in NZ. We’ve just bought a caravan for a year-long travel adventure, so no electrical needed, but he’s still wanting to upgrade everything (of course!)
I love how much this channel shows community! There's no fear in asking for help :) setting the way for future van lifer
Yes! Van life is all about community and we are so lucky to have so many super smart and kind friends we can turn to when we need help!

Same! But waiting for Sunday's is hard now that I'm all caught up. I've been thinking of going back and watching their other builds!
Brittany Putnam You DEFINITELY should keep binging their channel. Their travel vlogs are just as fun as their building vlogs.💯💯
Yeah he’s a bit ya know..
When Bob said "Did i screw up? what's making you feel bad?" Oh my heart! What a great and attentive father. Bob is amazing and must be protected at all costs ❤
Awww Trent and Allie!

All I have to say is Thank God for Bec !!!. Not only does she support, help with work, does the errands and Feeds them !!!! She is the Best !!💗 🚐 🌟
Awe thanks for the love! I appreciate it!
Hence why she laughs while looking at the food.
ive been watching this couple for a while now and i was shocked to find out that i drive by chaiwalachai almost everyday as i get off from the highway what a small world sometimes

As a woman in electrical engineering I enjoy the electronics and the design
Incredible!! I really got involved this week too. So much to learn!
Bob's face when Eamon gave him the news about possibly having to do the wiring again😭😭😭😭😭😭 that needs to be a meme
Hahah AGREED!! Somebody make this a meme!
Bob definitely has a fan club and I'm definitely in it!! ❤❤❤
Bob is trying to adjust to his new fame! 😊😊😊
who else gets so happy when they post? Love the editing! They inspire and motivates me so much with growing my channel! ❤️
We get so happy when we see our beautiful community in the comments! Thank you for all the love Erin and keep on trucking with your own content 💜
Yes. Feels crazy to have a 12v system.
I’m not sure which will fail first, the 2/0 or the bar, but certainly, neither are capable of the 500amps and that doesn’t include peak pull.
curious to know if insurers need to sign off on these custom builds, or else coverage may be denied if there was a accident or damage.
I love watching Trent and Allie too!!

Hey now, I'm a girl and I'm loving this electrical stuff! I love the decor too 😍
Haha Eamon was speaking from his personal experience with me hah... I can only handle so much technical stuff 😂
Eamon’s experience with you should not be lumped into a general statement however. It was uncalled for.
These are such challenging times for people. I came across this info you may find interesting. swprs.org/face-masks-evidence/
I was getting nervous when I saw you solder those cables at first... glad you corrected it, because proper crimping is definitely the right way to do it! :)
Crimping might be easy but if you only have one system to build do you really want to buy a crimper , soldering works and it's cheaper .
@@maitlandmoore6426 It doesn't need to be an expensive hydraulic crimp tool, there are really cheap Hammer Crimpers which work just fine... soldering is a bad idea for those thick high amperage cables.

Also love watching and seeing Trent on your vlog as well. It’s like wow, my favorite RUclipsrs are friends. All the best to you. Good luck with your next projects this week. And again a Thank You!!!
13:14 I know alot of van builds are 12v... Big and expensive mistake in wiring and inverter cost.
24v or higher has alot of benefits ;-)
I think you will struggle to find all the components you want to install at 28Vdc. You would either need a commercial trucking platform to start with or a DC/DC converter. Then all the lights and charge controller, inverter, etc need to be 28Vdc. Theoretically it is the better way to go but your copper savings likely won't cover your extra money and head ache along the way.
"all the girls are probably snoozin" cut to me low-key wishing they'd go further into detail so I can take better notes on the electrical set up😂

Thank you! When i heard Eamon say that... :( so disappointing

It’s really not that deep
Bec where’d ya get the awesome grayish crop shirt and blue flowy pants? They’re so cool!!
From my new fav shop Indigo Luna 😊 I actually reached out to them for a little code as I've been getting SO many Qs about my outfits from them so you can use code BEC for 10% off :)
Eamon & Bec amazing!! Checking them out now 😊
Eamon - I admire your "out of the box" ideas.
Agreed, Maybe they can install the battery bank on some sort of jerry rigged vibration isolators.
Sofia was the highlight of the video....so sweet! Watched the video twice! Just starting into wiring my accessible van.
Agreed! Sofia is the superstar... giving Bob a run for his money 😂
“got COVID” priceless...star power.
