And Rise your thoughts at the end about the good writing, I was just reminded - Haikyuu has got so many into not just volleyball but sports anime as a genre (me included), because most people are into anime for fantastical elements and cool escapism, not an everyday irl regular sport - one of the most common questions is just 'who tf would watch an anime about volleyball lol'. But it has people hooked anyway!
And you can't even hate any team you just want everyone to win lol - it's really such a uniquely built up anime.
