Sir , apne ne mera last Thailand trip (2017) yaad dila diya , we reached 40mins before departure in Don Mueang airport. But the airport staff was quite friendly and the process went smoothly and we made it to the flight same as yours .

Bali is very beautiful. Their culture is mostly Hindu and they are very religious. I found it to be very cheap to visit. Even 5 * hotels are very affordable in Nusa Dua. The rice fields and landscaping is pleasing to the eye because it’s so clean I loved Bali

It's immigration officials duty to approve or reject the entry. Even in India at immigration counter official can deny entry to any foreigner. Visa is not a guarantee to enter any country, it's all upto immigration officer who decide your entry.
