It was awesome and the nostalgia is crazy, but I think we can all agree that the new Minecraft is just overall better. It's important for games to adapt. Minecraft would've grown stale if it stayed as it was
Honestly nostalgia is nostalgia, kids nowadays will probably call this nostalgia when they’re older, it doesn’t matter what you did or who you did it with, you will only remember the good times from this time and when nothing bothered you, thats whats sweet about it
We used to complain about old people complaining about our habits and way of leaving. Now we are doing the same. For real, guys, grow up and let the past remain past, minecraft is still good.

I remember I played Minecraft on PS 3 with my sister, unforgettable feelings, we built houses, explored the world - it was cool idk how much time I spent playing it but I think it was about 100 hours.. Miss that times.
I played 1.12-1.13 on PS3 for a very, very long time and got used to it. Unlike what most of the comments say, I don't just miss being happy, I miss the tutorial worlds, the old menus, exit without saving, smaller worlds, mini games, the texture packs and custom worlds I also remember believing a lot of creepy pastas and trying to spawn them in. The world felt much more alone then, not as much as alpha, but still enough to feel uncanny. I miss the downsides in a weird way like putting Gamma up to max to see better, taking 10 minutes to make a world, no crossplay and admin privileges instead of commands That is the Minecraft I remember, and it will always be (in my opinion) the best version. Java and bedrock just... feel less special and loved, 4J loved Minecraft and tried their best to make it as good as possible. Nowadays there is no 4J, only marketplace and censorship. You don't need to share my opinion but you don't need to be making false assumptions about why some people prefer the old versions either.
Honestly, I like both. I like how it’s grown with its players and there’s always more to do and find, and I do like the new textures although there’s some that I miss. Old minecraft is definitely nostalgic and makes you think of a different time when you were younger and things might’ve been more simple, whereas new minecraft is like a new but familiar thing to explore with more for everyone to enjoy.
Kids these days don't know the struggle. The amount of pure dopamine you received after finding your first diamond is immeasurable, I still struggle to recreate to this day almost a decade later.

I'm sorry if I came off as aggressive, but I just really wanted to get this out of my chest.
The crazy thing is that all the things you could do in old Minecraft literally still exist in normal Minecraft. You miss the time in your life, not the game itself. You can always go back to those older versions anyway
Better* The old was the BEST, the new one is too easy and boring sometimes but it have much blocks to build so it's better for builders and still have some positive sides with those new things and it can cover your time
I COMPLETELY DISAGREE NEVER SAY THAT AGAIN! Old minecraft like Xbox One Edition which is in 1.12 is just better because its a nolder version with better menus and more fun.
I think the game's definitely evolved into something different, whether that's bad or not is opinion but I personally don't mind the changes and still enjoy Minecraft today.
People back then enjoyed with what they have because that’s all they have; People now complain about not having anything because they it have all. Humanity is built on contradiction and contrarians. The more options is provided, the more comparison there’ll be, the less choices will be made since there’s always the *best* option. It was awesome and the nostalgia is crazy, but I think we can all agree that the new Minecraft is just overall better. It's important for games to adapt. Minecraft would've grown stale if it stayed as it was
You dont miss old minecraft. You miss the time

Honestly nostalgia is nostalgia, kids nowadays will probably call this nostalgia when they’re older, it doesn’t matter what you did or who you did it with, you will only remember the good times from this time and when nothing bothered you, thats whats sweet about it
Bro, literally so nostalgic. I watched every Minecraft vids of Lizzie 😭 its been over 10 years ☹️💞

New Minecraft has too many (new) features to really be called "nostalgic"

I remember I played Minecraft on PS 3 with my sister, unforgettable feelings, we built houses, explored the world - it was cool idk how much time I spent playing it but I think it was about 100 hours.. Miss that times.
I played 1.12-1.13 on PS3 for a very, very long time and got used to it.
Unlike what most of the comments say, I don't just miss being happy, I miss the tutorial worlds, the old menus, exit without saving, smaller worlds, mini games, the texture packs and custom worlds
I also remember believing a lot of creepy pastas and trying to spawn them in. The world felt much more alone then, not as much as alpha, but still enough to feel uncanny. I miss the downsides in a weird way like putting Gamma up to max to see better, taking 10 minutes to make a world, no crossplay and admin privileges instead of commands
That is the Minecraft I remember, and it will always be (in my opinion) the best version. Java and bedrock just... feel less special and loved, 4J loved Minecraft and tried their best to make it as good as possible. Nowadays there is no 4J, only marketplace and censorship. Sorry for yapping loads :P
It doesn't matter old or new Minecraft Minecraft is every time the best
I've played since it came out. New Minecraft might have more features, but old Minecraft has one. Nostalgia.
Huh!?
So... you literally say it has nothing. Nostalgia is just a feature of your brain, not Minecraft. It applies to almost everything in life
Old Minecraft doesn't have nothing, I meant old Minecraft has one feature that new mc doesn't have that's as important as any update, the nostalgia. (Also I said nostalgia is a feature of the game for dramatic effect 😐)
Nope, you could change your name any time you want in minecraft pocket edition so i remember when all my friends were named herobrine. Also some minecraft servers didnt have a account login system so all we had to do to destroy a minecraft server was to change our name to the owner’s name to get into their account, give OP to ourselves and friends and destroy everything and ban everyone
Nostalgia is purely subjective though.
for some reason, the sound of emerald, diamonds and gold blocks being placed...
just hits every fiber of my being
