  • In this video, we're going to explore the magnificent Amerigo Vespucci and see why it's one of the most beautiful ships in the world.
From its 26 sails covering a surface of almost 3000 square meter to its elegant deck, the Amerigo Vespucci is a truly unforgettable experience.
Owned by the Italian Navy and used as a training ship is probably the reason it is still in such a mint condition.
During its visit in Malta I had a once in a lifetime opportunity to board the vessel.
If you need more information on the ship and its specifications you can refer to en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Italian...
    or other websites.

Love this ship I've seen her often in Venice where I live. May I respectfully suggest a revision of the ship's beautiful motto. It is better translated as "Not who begins, but who perseveres" (persevera means persevere). Thanks for a lovely visit aboard!

The name America is derived from that of the Italian navigator Amerigo Vespucci, who may have visited the mainland of North America in 1497 and 1498.

When the Ameriigo Vespucci ship was in San Pedro, the people in charge should have had a VR component available for those of us that weren't allowed on the ship because we are in wheelchairs. That would have made the trip out to see the ship almost worth it. If they come out to the states again, that's what they should do.

Regarding "The most beautiful ship in the world", the full-rigged ship Amerigo Vespucci named for the Italian explorer and navigator from the Republic of Florence, from whose name the name "America" is derived: The title of "The most beautiful ship in the world" comes from the following events:
In 1962, as their paths crossed in the Mediterranean Sea, the American nuclear super carrier USS Independence challenged the Amerigo Vespucci, flashing the light signal: "Who are you?"
The full-rigged sailing ship, standing up to the super carrier's challenge, flashed back: "Training ship Amerigo Vespucci, Italian Navy."
The super carrier then flashed back: "You are the most beautiful ship in the world", first christening Amerigo Vespucci with its title,
Reaffirming the title, in 2022 Amerigo Vespucci crossed paths in the Mediterranean Sea with the American super carrier USS George H.W. Bush, which called to America Vespucci: "You are still, after 60 years, the most beautiful ship in the world."
