I've made numerous updates to my UX portfolio since I recorded this video. You can check it here ⚡ mizko.net PS. Please note I no longer run an agency and don't actively do client work, so my portfolio doesn't focus on case studies.
Two things i really like: 1. I think the video snippets is really the icing on the cake here, non obtrusive, professional - goes perfect with the dark theme (especially the blend in). 2. The testimonials - but more specifically the ability to filter via industry. If I'm a contractor - I don't care what someone in blockahin thinks, id like to see another contractors testimonial: this facilitates it. Great site, well done
I think this is a very classy and intentional new design. I feel like it carries the UI/UX knowledge you have (and shared) through in a delightful way.
Big Fan of you Mizko, This is my second chance in life to achieve something. I'm currently on a career shift, I'm very much interested in designing and want to learn UI/UX and to build my career on it, I've just started my journey in UX Design and you've been the best inspiration all the way in the transition.
As an architect who’s transitioned in to UI/UX design over the past year, using interior design (a physical space) to figure out how you want your portfolio website to feel (a virtual space) is a really cool technique and is absolutely a big part of how I see UI/UX because of my background, love it!
We literally have two styles now. Morphism black and morphism white. And interstellar black holes using Michael bay studio VFX with infinite galaxies and glowing poop everywhere stuffed into a couple bento squares.
It's funny to see that we have been using the same approach. In my Product Design work, I work structured and methodical like taught in your courses. But when I both design & develop a website, I use this more messy initial Figma design approach.
Haha I’m glad to hear! I agree! I definitely wouldn’t use this approach in product / UX design for larger projects 😅 it would be a nightmare. Glad my students are smart!!! It’s perfect for web design if you know how to build 👌
Hey Mizko, Love your work, currently a junior UX designer with 1 years experience commercially, I'm struggling to elevate my portfolio as I want to move away from the laptop mockup and story telling case studies! How do I elevate my projects to be stronger in a portfolio setting, what tips do you have?
My question is the sidebar on the left side. Because usually on websites they are on the right i think. And on webapps on the left. Is this just me ? I am not a designer
Hey Mizko! I want to create my portfolio site but I am confused. Can you please guide me? I am a graphic and UI UX designer with 3 years of experience. How should I come up with strategies and UI design?
Hi Mizko, thanks for sharing this video, it's always a pleasure watch your content cause I always learn something useful. One question for you: What happened with your Mizko Media Agency? I saw that now all the social profiles are redirected to your portfolio website. I'm just interested to know it cause for a while you covered both the roles as CEO in Mizko Media and UX/UI Designer as Mizko (am I wrong?). So how did you manage the incoming similar UX/UI projects? I mean How did you decide if a UX/UI project was good for your agency or for you as a freelancer? Wasn't there a conflict of interest? I'm asking you cause I'm in a similar situation right now and I'm trying to clear my ideas and choose the right direction. Thanks!
Great question Giudena! Mizko.net has always been the primary domain that generated all the work for me throughout my freelance + agency days. When I was running Mizko Media, I would tell all my clients I'm running an agency and the work would be completed by the team, with my guidance. They were 100% ok with that. Just make sure you deliver on your promise :)
@@Mizko the one with the ninja stars and the face mask 😄 memorable! I started getting into web design stuff around 2010 so probably came across it when looking for inspiration 😄🤙🏻

Thank so much RJ! Really appreciate it

🙏 Humbled to hear. I'll always be here to show you what's possible in the tech world - the skies the limit my friend. Keep at it!
Thank you@@Mizko 🙌
Man, your approach to design is on another level 🔥
Thank you Kelly!! ✌

We need a video that makes a comparaison between webflow and framer.
Will do 👌
I am so happy you are back on track with UX UI videos, really amazing stuff!
🫰🫰🫰 let me know what other UX/UI videos you’re looking to learn :)
@@Mizko A project on figma with the latest features and best practices just like the last years would be great!

What a detailed breakdown of your portfolio process Mizko! 🚀
thank you Shan!!
Talk about great timing, I shared my folio for feedback on the Designership community a few hours ago too 🤣
I just recovered from surgery!! I’ll be checking the community soon :)
Great breakdown of your new portfolio from Figma to Webflow. Glad to see you're a fan of Webflow.
The filter side bar was so thoughtful
Soooo much improvement in design ❤

The dish you've cooked, looks juicy and delicious😁, congratulations 🎉
Thank you!!!
Amazing idea 💡 you have shared here
Thank you! Glad to hear

Hard to explain in text, I'll make a video about this :)
Amazing Work! Inspired. ❤
Thank you Asim!

Did you use any of the new "figma to webflow" plugin functions??
Nope! Built from scratch :)
Hey Mizko, how can I get access to the case studies in your portfolio?
when we create a project to our portfolio, do we need to design full pages or only important pages enough?
Hi, Miziko can you talk about AR designs?

Why UI/UX designers say that they are UI/ UX designers and Developers? Do designers also need to know code?
I learnt how to code before I designed 15 years ago. It’s just how it is for me
Do you have a figma to webflow tutorial?
I’ve started to launch webflow tutorials recently! This year I’m expanding from Figma to real UX, Webflow and Framer tutorials
Cool beans @@Mizko
Pretty sure I remember that very first one from years ago!
Haha! No way... which one?
@@Mizko the one with the ninja stars and the face mask 😄 memorable! I started getting into web design stuff around 2010 so probably came across it when looking for inspiration 😄🤙🏻
why not framer?
Nice one
Thank you!
No code is BS
