Ive used them all, api leaf zone is very high in potassium and iron so It will give you that initial boost but not good for long term as you say it does cause algae outbreaks. I used tropica specialised nutrition for years before i came across apt 3 (estimative index) its by far the best ive used, i wouldnt personally use it without co2 and decent lighting. Apt has a lot of potassium compared to other brands so if following the bottle dosage instructions you dont want to be missing that weekly water change.:) great vid subscribed

I've had the most success with Easy Green. I tried 2 Hr and Leaf Zone as well.

Maybe I should check easy green out too. What does your TDS sit at?

@@AquascapeOdyssey Sorry, I only check parameters with my API test kit (nitrates, nitrites, ammonia, ph).

No worries. What does your PH sit at usually?

@@Scaperoot79 prefect. I just want to get a feel where some people are at and what’s working.

I checked API Leaf Zone, it's the equivalent of APT Zero where there are no nitrates and phosphates. All it has is potassium and iron. It's a very lean fertilizer than APT 3, so I don't think you were adding exessive nutrients with Leaf Zone that caused an algae breakout - some other factors might have caused it.

API has notoriously poor quality control.

That would make sense that each batch might actually hold a higher yield.
