This is one of my absolute all time favourite online covers and a huge tribute to Miley Cyrus by Ahmir. David Side's contributions make it even better. There's a certain chemistry in which Ahmir and David Sides cooperated on this with so much love. I come back to this interpretation over and over and it still sounds awesome regardless of how many times I have listened to it or have watched it. Simply an unforgettable cover.

an answer to the video question... YES you can appreciate the climb. I've served in the service and still do, about to go on a deployment to Afghanistan. I once ran 18 miles in 3 hours(yeah i think thats not that fast?) for nothing really, there was no reward, but it gave a realization of where i stood. My reward was my achievement though it didn't start that way and the climb was totally worth it. Oh yes and not to forget to comment, but this is a great song cover love the voices n David

I've been listening to this version over and over... I will say that when I first listened to it, tears streamed from my eyes. Not one, but several. This song has such a huge impact on me and the occasional doubt I feel about my goals and dreams in life. Listening to this song inspires me to push on, no matter how difficult it will be for me. This is a beautiful cover.

its the 3rd of the scale on top of the four/four chord. It belongs there stylistically. Dissonance is extremely beautiful if resolved correctly which it is. Good ear for half steps! I personally love half step dissonance(if done correctly within chord progression)
