I love a good bargain just like the next guy, however in life I've learned that giving people a few dollars above their asking price actually helps them out a lot, makes them feel grateful and brings me good Karma at the same time with a positive feeling that I helped someone put food on the table. 💯

Trust me, they dont need this. Source: im from brazil, my mother was on both sides (selling and bargaining). The prices they give to the locals are so ridiculously cheaper that youd feel dumb if only you knew. And even with the locals they bargain, meaning if yku buy something say at 20, they can the locals will be offered 10, and most of the times the final price is 3-4. So youre literally buying 5x what they can actually offer. Of course it makes them happy you gave them 5x the pay, but really salesman like my mother was think "I just scammed this person lmfao"
Plus, think about it. Locals that buy from them are way poorer. One of the most payed things in poor areas is a salesman. They can make a good piving off of just locals, meaning yes its cool to help them, but dont EVER feel sorry for bargaining. Ever. They even apread lies to poor locals just to sell, this was one of my mothers best abilities. She convinced half the women that a crappy dress cloth was the new thing in big cities. In no time she sold it for way more than theu coild usually afford it for. She wasnt a bad person, but nowdays when she barhains, she keeps repeating it "dont ever feel sorry for them ever"

The USD currently sits at the top of the market next to the Euro, for many countries the conversation rate is wild and the prices of common things are cheap. Food, drink, medicine. I don’t get people that bargain for a cheapest price when in foreign countries. Just pay the man what he is asking the second time and call it a day. Gotta keep in mind that these people actualy have a family to feed. Sure he gets the product for a reliable price, but its not like he is scamming you. I have family in my home country that own a shop and they barely scrape enough money for a decent living.
