Hey I am so glad with these analysis of you , helps me really alot also this one also had problems with below lips imploding. I solved that now by how you say resting my bottom lip on the below part of the mouthpiece. Especially when i have to junp into a really high note. Downside of this setup is that ibloose flexibilityand vibratibg of the below lip so when i play lower or softer od dobt nake any jumps i push mu bottemlip more into the moutpiece. So i sometimes switch on embouchure depending on what i am playing. Keep going on with this men i really appreciate it a lo🙏🏿🙏🏿
Thanks...it seems it always comes down to the individual...something happens after practicing about an hour when the bottom lip will quiver and I cannot get above an "E". @@trumpetthoughts

I totally get what you are saying here. I kind of do something similar (keep an eye out for the next video discussing this, via the double pedal C).
Lots of videos of Maynard doing that. Always thought it was part of the act but now maybe not.
🤔
Faddis does it too. I don't think it's an act.
Gonna try it.
Let me know how it goes for you.
Andy Tichenor sets up very similarly.
Check him out on his channel.
Oh, I've seen him. Monster player!
The Farkas book on embouchure states the mouthpiece placement on the lips should be 1/3 on top and 2/3 on bottom. I like this placement. Thoughts.?
If it works for you, it's fine. But it's completely dependent on facial anatomy and teeth structure. I avoid any dogmatic rules like that.
